When I read that I couldn't agree on it. How could the ladder possibly be Irrelevant? Mick doesn't make sense some times.

I think the main to take from not looking at that ladder is that your own teams form over the season is what determines how you go fullstop. Why would you look at the ladder and make decisions when it is a matter of winning each week.

There is no need to get over awed by teams above you on the ladder in any sport. Laughing

mmm i have to agree with woey fan, mick is and absolute genious but sometimes he does things that i cant see the sense in and get a bit worried at ie. burns on the bench followed by bucks last week....
but i dont really see much harm being done so ill stick to thinking mick has a plan with everything he does and keep my peace of mind

we are in the finals BUT must win our next 2 games to give us our best shot at it, so it makes it quite irrelevant, we must win the last two games

I think Mick's intelligent mind thinks one thing and then his mouth can't fully grapple with the thoughts. I mean listen to his Trojan Horse analogy!

I interpreted it as Mick saying that the ladder is irrelevent in terms of rating Team & Player Form. Also that the ladder should not be used as a motivating tool. He also mentioned an In-House Ladder, which I would assume is a Player Form/Performance Ladder.

It is called a rotation. It is a 'tactic' used by all clubs to keep their players fresh. I fully agree with that tactic.

ok point taken joel but u would have to say that they are our two best players and when they are on the bench for almost a quarter at a time in important games it gets a bit frustrating..even bucks has said in interveiws he gets a bit frustrated with it.
does mick only do rotation in the midfield because not one time this year have i seen tazza or rocca on the bench unless injured and u would have to say bucks and burns are just as important

Bux and Burnsy ARE two of our very best AND they're mid fielders.

For both those reasons they are rotated. It's a long season.

Of course Bux gets frustrated. He is the skipper and wants to be in the thick of it, for every minute of the game.

Sure, Taz works bloody hard but he gets breaks when the opposition is attacking.

I'm happy to leave the coaching in MM's hands.
