Good Lord! What a load of old crap! Last year Travis Johnstone, Blake Caracella, Wayne Carey were all happily skipping down the yellowy-brown brick road to Pie-land when they must have got bad directions from the wicked witch, the AFL's salary cap auditor. |

brown is a big possibility, and would be an asset for the club.
Scotland, and possibly O'Bree may be a fair deal although the Dogs still may want a draft pick to go with these two.
Molloy, Kinnear would be good, but I think Molloy, Scotland would be more what the Dogs are after.
A high draft pick may also be a fair deal eg. Pick 16 (when we win the flag) and Kinnear
The salary cap may also be a problem, but with the $250,000 gained from Bucks being on the veterans list, we only need to find $150,000 and that could come about from the loss of the players that we trade to get Brown.
(I am saying this because I believe that Brown is worth no more than $400,000. Especially if Bucks is only $500,000.)
This is all hypothetical though, and we all know that the odds are against us getting Brown, because he said he would like to stay if Dary stayed, and Darcy recently signed (for 2 yrs by memory). |

Yes. Half Bucks salary is undeclared.
Leaves some cap room. _________________ © The Dude ®

Perhaps we could trade the members of this bulletin board who continue to circulate rumours, sparking fresh rounds of player bagging... Greg - if you have a problem, kindly take it up with me via the PM function.
What I really don't get about these discussions is the mentality that we should go all out to buy a premiership. Well, it didn't work for Carlton, and I rather like the team we've got. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. If you read my post again, MG, you'll see my problem was with those who continue to trade (pun unintended) on rumour and gossip. Whatever I may or may not have said previously, I fail to see how it was a personal attack on you.
As someone else has said, it's amazing how easily some egos are bruised. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. Then we could live in peace and tranquillity, and no one would know anything." - Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen |

OK Greg. I still fail to see where the personal attack was. But I'm sorry I've offended you.
We could have sorted it out via PM and it wouldn't have been as messy, but that's your call. Best we ignore each other.

There is no point bagging people for saying what they hear on radio or see on tv!
Yet we all have an opinion on what we think is going on based on previous years experiences
What we don't know is what the true intentions of uncontracted players and their managers are actually trying to get out of a new contract.
Collingwood has identified the need for another quality midfielder and running forward goalkicker. (RE: Terry Daniher on 927 radio last week)
Does that mean that its Nick Stevens and Nathan Brown are coming to the pies?
No it doesn't!!!!! All it means that they have identified the need for two players to compliment their side.
The need to get a ruckmen theory is absolute crap and has been said by collingwood they are not chasing a ruckmen, they have invested to heavely in Fraser, richards, and Cam cloke and use Mckee as a stop gap ruckmen
We may need a tall running creative key defender? yes but were are they?
they don't grow on trees!
we have invested in walker and now maxwell has been put on the list as he shows alot of promise and don't forget crow as well
but if players of stevens and brown and Judd come on the market
you would be stupid not to bid for them
I trust mickand ed and swan to do whats best for the club and supporters
have they let us down yet? i think not
the club is only at the 9.00am clock we have plenty of improving yet
the list still needs work to be a consistent top two performer
brisbane showed us that
there will be some delistings at the end of the year and so there should be as we need to compete at that higher level consistently
be patient
I want the pies to play consistently well and if that means raising the bar and some players cant handle it then just get the best within the realms of salary cap restrictions
lets all band together and push the pies to do well this week
go pies |

I'm sorry but that is laughable, two players AND a pick. Don't take it personally Gobbles this whole topic is a laugh, although it is fun at times to speculate.
