Are the umpires blind or something? What does the other team have to do to him so he gets a free kick inside the 50??
And to add to that. Brisbane have their own rules or something?
A Mark Is When The Ball Doesn't Slip Through The Players Hands, chest etc and hit the ground
Or if you're bloody Akka it only has the hit his fingers to be paid

Ok i see what you're saying to a point but its hard to win the contests in spite of the lake of attention the umpires give him when hes being pulled backwards by his arms to the ground. Or when he gets pulled backwards above the shoulders.

Of course the other reason is that if they did pay all the free kicks to Tarrant then he would kick about 10 goals a game and then every other team would be on the umpires back because he gets too many free kicks.

It annoys me to no end.

yeah so we'll just let wankers like Lloyd get 10 goals per game from acting but players who should get free kicks 'when they are there' don't get any.

But some of them show clearly he is either held, pushed or hit in the head
but for somew reason the umps dont pay them, but when he is outside 50 usually they do so what gives?

Yes in stark contrast to Lynch who got a free kick for putting Wakelin in a headlock moments before the final siren. WTF was up with that?
Its one rule for Lynch and another for the rest of the players in the AFL.
The guys a cheat, he holds his opponent, not to mention grabs the ball out of the ruck and is never penalized when tackled. If Lynch wasn’t allowed to cheat all the time we may have the 2002 flag now.

It brought the Grand Final memories back today to see that Lynch free for getting Wakes in a headlock.

As for Tazza getting held and slung to the ground by the neck - well, he'd better get used to it as it happens every week!

I'd get frustrated and hit the defender in the stomach. Let them know he's not going to take any crap for the rest of the game

Free kicks for 2003

Barry Hall: 8-21
Matthew Llyod: 14-14
Alistair Lynch: 15-21
David Neitz: 14-31
Matthew Richardson: 22-25
Chris Tarrant: 23-17
Brendon Fevola: 19-20

Stats upto the end of Round 18, not including any Round 19 games.

Lynch gets away with so much it's not funny.
