Some tough decisions to be made at selection this week. All of Ball, O'Brien, Elliott, Sinclair, Jolly, Hudson, Young, Frost, Witts, Krakouer, Martin, and Mooney must be in the picture. Just who and for whom is the million $ ?. |

Can't believe some want Blair and Dwyer out. Give me their "game long" fight over a couple of "super star moments" any day.
Out Kennedy (is he a closet kanga fan?) in Ball, out Q in Hudson, (jolly still toast yeah?) out Russell in Harry. If Elliot is fit, not sure who to take out.
Last week I'd have said Dids, but he wasn't bad today. Elliot when he is flying now better, but not lately. See if anyone else doesn't come up I guess.
Didn't take much from yesterday.
Thought Swan was cool trying to get Cloke to take Reids Shot! Would have been nice to see him get the Coleman. Can't stand the thug that got it. But he knew, he was standing back to take the defenders as usual.
He has been bloody magnificent all year.
And just imagine if he had kicked straight....
Pies on top, Coleman by a shit load.

Roughy is a deserving winner and (seems like) a good bloke.
I think you may be thinking of Franklin. |

The third out Is tough.. Assuming all are fit would come done down too Mcaffer Dwyer Seedsman Didak
I would probably go Mcaffer in a tough decision |
Nah Dids stays IMO.
Really loved his sense of urgency.
Always looked to run and carry the ball.
Rarely did he hold up the play looking for the easy option.
Smash Port

Jolly and Young have done little in the 2's... it is also a shame Witts has not come along - he would be very handy to replace Lynch.
Russell and Kennedy are not the required standard... Harry and Ball back in will add some bite to our mids.
I think Elliot would come in for Seedsman as Didak worked a lot harder the last few weeks.
Biggest concern (as it has been all year) is the 2nd ruck... Lynch if healthy is still very average - but can Hudson mark? Does Jolly have anything left to offer? Can either of Witts, Hudson and Jolly offer any defensive pressure? _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

Agree with all considerations except for Mooney, Witts and possibly Frost (if Brown is OK). |

I get the feeling Bucks might roll the dice with C. Young he loves players with his kind of skills! I think Seedy might come out too many mistakes. Dwyer and Blair stay in. Kennedy for Ball. Harry O will come in for Russell

At least you're consistent. Caff out for the 10th week in a row . |
Hey! Fair go! That's not true, Inky. Yes it's true that Rudie started out wanting to get rid of 'Caff, and true that he does now, but in between he warmly supported Macaffer as a best 22 player and posted to say so. Have you forgotten that already? It was during August that Rudie became a 'Caff fan. Wednesday the 21st, if I remember correctly, between about 7:30 and roughly 7:45. |
Correct weight. If it wasn't for trying to squeeze Dids into the team, I'd say keep Macaffer. I think the Caff will keep his spot, as he's our only designated tagger. I just can't see anyone else getting dropped to fit Dids in. Maybe, I have to face up to Dids not getting a spot. He's just such a great finisher with the ball, and those skills win games. |

Among the best in the VFL final so has to be under consideration. Not saying he'll get a game, just that his name will be on the whiteboard at selection.
Others such as Caolan Mooney (15 possessions, three inside 50s), Peter Yagmoor (17 possessions, five rebound 50s) and Jack Frost (five marks) all contributed well.
Best - Collingwood: Hellier, Martin, Yagmoor, Frost, S.Williams, Mooney
Port Melbourne: Pinwall, Skipper, Rowe, Pleming, Batsanis, Hughes

Did you watch the VFL game Laz?
Mooney was among the best players and that has to have him under consideration. Not suggesting that he'd get a game ahead of an Elliott, Dwyer or Didak, just that he'll be considered.
Witts didn't have the best game Saturday but played predominantly as a forward because of Hudson and Jolly. Did ok when thrown onto the ball. If Lynch doesn't come up then all 3 of Jolly, Hudson and Witts would be discussed as possible replacements.
Frost just starting to find form and wouldn't be considered ahead of Brown, Keeffe, Goldsack and Maxwell but Brown may not get up and Keeffe apparently hobbled off late in the game. |
