Welcome back to senior footy Lachie, always great to see someone who has done an ACL return, and in front of his family too. |

Looking forward to this one. The Suns won't be an easy opponent despite what some are saying. They've improved massively from last season. They've arguably got the better player in the competition, and they also have a strong ruckman in Nicholls and O'Meara is an absolute gun to say the least.
Now in regards to the changes this week.
Young had to go out of the side due to his recurring hamstring injury unfortunately. It's really disappointing to see that hamstring injuries are getting the better of him far too often. Jarryd Blair's omission was a little harsh in my opinion, but I can see why he's been left out of the side though. I think Blair's tackling ability and pressure is first class though so I hope we don't miss that. Pity that Nathan Brown is the late withdrawal but at least Keefe is back
Now the inclusions include Goldsack, Mooney and Keefe. I like the inclusions of Goldsack and Keefe but I do worry that they may not be ready yet as Keefe is returning from a long-term injury and Goldsack wasn't very impressive against Box Hill two weeks ago in the VFL. If Bucks thinks they're good to go, then I'm happy with that as they're both great players when in form. The inclusion of Mooney does surprise me admittedly, but I guess his pace is his biggest asset so that may work in our favour when he comes on as the sub as the Suns are a pretty fast team in terms of pace through the middle.
Overall, it's not a bad side I must say. I expect us to prevail if we're genuine top 4 contenders but we really need to win to keep up the pace with the top 4. The Suns won't make it easy for us, but I think we'll have too much quality and overrun them in the end.
One question for fellow Nicksters is should Macaffer tag Ablett or O'Meara? I feel tagging Ablett would be a waste of time as he's a ball magnet whereas quelling O'Meara's influence in the game will be instrumental in increasing our chances of winning this one. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 |

Hmm...thanks for clearing that up. When I saw the teams they didn't list why he was out so I presumed that he was dropped. I knew Young was out with an injury obviously.
Anyway at least it means Blair wasn't dropped. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Looking forward to seeing the big man play again today. Was hoping he'd be a late call up. |

Blair was named as out (calf) in both the Pre match and this thread. _________________ Donny.
