|
The FA Cup Final is taking place this weekend with Manchester City taking on Wigan Athletic at Wembley Stadium in London.
Local time this game begins 5:15pm on Saturday May 11 2013,
Therefore in Australia, the game will begin at 2:15am on Sunday May 12, 2013 in AEDT.
What are your tips for this match, and is Wigan any chance of winning this game?

I really couldn't care less. However I do think Dave Whelan & Roberto Martinez are class acts, so for them I hope Wigan can win.

Great result.
Wigan ran the show both on & off the pitch. With Wigan still knee deep in avoiding relegation, the focus was truly on them as battlers and underdogs. City was simply City - mega rich overseas funded club hoping to win. YAWN!
Having Dave Whelan lead Wigan out was terrific, it really stole the limelight from City even more. He'd waited 53 years to get back on the Wembley turf.
In the game Wigan deserved the win. It was no flukey upset. They played fearlessly.
It was mentioned that the entire Wigan squad cost £11 million. Man City had 11 players who each cost over £11 million individually.
Overall a great result on so many levels - nostalgia v new money, rich v poor, flashy overseas money v local self made man, big city v small town. |

I kept telling the boys that no one should be $8.50 in a 2 horse race. They laughed at me but I got the cash. Thank you Wigan. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

My reaction to Wigan beating Man City
Congratulations Wigan Athletic. They therefore qualify to play in the Europa League next season and they will face Manchester United in the Community Shield at the start of next season.
Man City played like an arrogant side who thought they would turn up and win it. They never deserved it in the end. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
