I wonder if Sav would become more ferocious playing at full back. He's got more agility and ability than Mick Martyn, maybe it'd be the making of him???

Pie No Sauce:
Hope you were tanked when you suggested that. Sav has many great attributes: being responsible for his man is defintitley not one of them. Just hope the rumours of the Big Sav sulking over MM putting the hard word on him aren't true.

If he can be motivated like '95 (=93 goals) adn Tarrant / Michael / Brown provide real avenues to goal to help relieve pressure, we should be getting back to the 80+ goal returns.

Broadie, I wasn't no, just trying to think around the corner.
We've a way to go b4 we reach the upper echelons so I reckon it'd be good for his character to learn to attack more. He is definitely not a slouch and at times has positively defended at FF.
Many FB's go to FF, I reckon it might instill some tenacity in him.
It's a long shot I know but you never know unless you givita go.

Good reply Pie boy! Thinking 'around the corner'. Interesting way to describe it. I'd like to see this plan put to action.......... For a little while.... Until we get a full back.

Sav at Full Back ? , you must be kidding. I appreciate the thought , but Sav will kick 100 next year, and our players should be positioned where they will cause the most damage.
This is why pagan is successfull, and why Sheedy saved his job this year. Leppitch was shifted from the forward line, but he plays with speed and skill. The only Full Back about Sav is his HAIR.

Come on PNS, has the HK heat finally affected you?
Sav will never be a full back in a million years...sheesh!
Let's just forget you ever mentioned it.
Now wasn't it great that Mrs Amanda Crow came to the aid of little Scotty?
Thanks Scott for your efforts but the writing was on the wall.
Thanks too to Jason Wild, Clinton King, Alex McDonald, Cam Venables and mostly to Premiership big man Monkey.
Now Wild must be the most maligned player ever to pull on a boot for Collingwood.
What's wrong with you people?
Where is your sense of fair play????
The guy had little skill but put his body on the line week after week when plenty of others never did.
Now if you really want to get fair dinkum here, just where is the screaming and raving to axe Patterson?
This guy has had THE dream run.
A pretty-well talentless receiver and really hungry to boot, who's body never got near to the action and yet everyone concentrates on Wild.
I'll have Jason anyday rather than Patto.
Now I'll be totally astonished if MM doesn't delist this guy VERY shortly.
As for Richo....keep as a back up maybe.
McKee WILL play every game for us nexy year.
He can play!
To delist:
Patterson, Watson, Richardson?

i agree with everything you said, particularly the comment about richo at FB. while it's easy to be cynical about richo, he still takes a solid contested mark and he can spoil. the best game i ever saw him play was out at waverley, and he was playing on stewart loewe one out in the goal square. basically for 3 quarters he kept loewe without a mark, until richo went down with a knee injury that kept him out for ages.

also, mal michael must be kept on the forward line. though if we get one of those classy brisbane forwards, then maybe MM might switch him back to the HB line. who knows.
