Generally I drink the best tap beer I can find here, so I stay away from the slop: carling, fosters, stella, kronenburg, San Miguel (all uk brewed) etc. and try and find a staropramen (Czech), sagres (Portugal), estrella, peroni or any beer brewed in its original city and brewery. But it really depends on whether the taps are clean or they all taste the same.
During the day if I'm at the pub I generally prefer an ale or bitter, but prefer a mild or summer ale - the low alcohol 3.5% variety that don't have the bitterness of the stronger ones. And yes, I like them at cellar temperature, they're good down to the last drop, they taste as they're meant to from draught to dregs.
From the off licence I'll buy becks, corona or budvar in the bottle. At £1-£1.29 you can't really go wrong there.
If I'm out drinking by the bottle I'll have another Mexican beer like Dos Equis, Modelo or Pacifico, or an Austrian pilsner like Trumet Pils or Stiegl.
My second favourite beer is the Kilkenny, but I also like its poor cousin in the creamy draught family like Boddingtons.
My all time fave though is coming back to Melbourne and having a cold Carlton draught, it's so much better than any tap beer here. It tastes like home and history and youth and life.

Was in the bottleshop, looking for something new. Grabbed a stubby of James Squires 50 lashes pale ale (think that's right?) and it was very good. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

I got given a 6 pack of that, drank one. Thought it was horrible.
I like some of the James Squire stuff but not that one. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Funny isn't it, my missus had a swig and she liked it too.
Personal taste, not everyone loves oysters, I can smash 3 dozen served any way imaginable. Drinkin' Bud at the minute...cheers!

By a serious margin, folks. Get this golden Belgian ale if you can. About ten bucks for this 750ml bottle here, which is great value for a couple of very flavoursome glasses.
I'm sure I've had Duvel stubbies at the pub on occasion but I don't recall them being anything special (maybe confusing Duvel with another beer). Anyhow, this is the cork stop larger bottle, and unlike the pub I made sure it wasn't over-chilled. Top stuff - very satisfied as we speak |

^Crikey! There I was drinking away wondering why the aforementioned tasty ale was going to my head so quickly.
Lo and behold I check the fine print and it's 8.5%!
Great tasting and potent! _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Best price you can get for Duvel in Oz is about 8-10 bucks for a 330ml bottle.
Its good stuff and like most fine ales or wine, the experience is better drinking from the correct vessel/temp.
There are instructions for pouring on the 4 pack carton box as well!
Recommended serving tempreture is "cellar"? which I assume is 10-12 degrees not fridge cooled.
Dont drink it from a "pot" glass! |

^I need to get myself a couple of those glasses - shamefully I was using something like a pot
At least I had the sense to drink it at the right temperature. Sounds like I'm onto a good thing with the price here - something like AU$9 for the 750ml if I've got the exchange rate right _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Tsingtao what a top drop
if you get the chance to get a brand called 'bitternberger' give it a go chill it down and don't drink any other grog before hand, brewed from 2 different waters and who needs 'hot-rocks' this drop will awaken every taste bud in your mouth!
and the chech beer with the goat on the label _________________ ʎɐqǝ ɯoɹɟ pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐl ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ |

Very good for a cheaper beer (not sure about Oz prices, but only about AU$ five bucks and a bit out my way):
