Tips for Posting

When posting a new topic, please check (scroll down the index) if there's already a topic covering your subject.

If you want to submit a long post, fine. No problems but please put spaces after each few lines as that makes it more readable.

If you're referring to the previous post, there's no need to use the 'quote' facility. Just refer to it.

When you complete your post, check it out. We don't require immaculate spelling but you'll find typos that way.

If, after you've posted, you notice a mistake or something you'd rather rephrase or add, you can edit the post yourself. Just click on 'edit'.

If you want to reply to a poster with a comment or enquiry that has no relevance or interest for anyone else, please use the Private Message facility.

Always name the scource of articles you post.

Top call Magfan, and I'd add it's nice if one posts their thoughts in the relevant forums......and perhaps only that forum...even though one may not recieve 5 million replies, it'll still be read and appreciated, even if not replied to (like I'm sure will happen to this post!)

To add to what magfan8 mentions, posting in the relevant forums is also recommended. For example, time and again people ask questions relevant to Williamstown in GD, whereas they should be submitted in the Training/VFL forum.

After all, Williamstown does play in the VFL.

Also, articles from Telstra sites (ie. afl.com and all the club sites) are not permitted to be reprinted here. Instead, just post the link to the relevant article.

This thread is a great idea mods. It may be a little easier for those of us who've been here for ages and seen the debates go on, but for some of the newer crew it sets some boundaries. Keep up the good work and keep the suggestions coming.
