I don't know if this has been talked about yet but i'm pretty sore it has.
I missed white line fever when Nick Davis was on but have just seen the ad for it. From what I gathered Nick Davis said if Collingwood had've won the flag last year he would've stayed at the club because wining the flag would've bort himself and the rest of the collingwood players more together.

2 questions:

1, Didn't the rest of the players like him much?
2, Why didn't he think about giving it a red hot go next season? (this season)

Using family as a reason for leaving sounds piss weak now!

Who really knows why he left?
Only those in the inner sanctum.

He was alienated by the other players because he was delaying signing so they lost respect for him and then refused to embrace him. They wanted him to commit but then he waited until the end of the season. that's what I was told anyway by a friend of the players.

He told his friends and parents that after Eddie questioned his loyalty during round three he wasn't going to sign on. He felt that Eddie was bullying him. His mother who wanted him to stay here then said she was prepared to let him come home after that, though she thinks the world of Balme and Malthouse. She was very disappointed in Eddie who used to be a hero of hers. And that is gospel by the way.

Well I have said before that I do not think Eddie handled it at all well but got shouted down for it. Eddie has been great but two silly mismanagement examples were how he dealt with Davis and how he was all for us getting Carey of all things.

People here were shat off with him but we are missing him badly as a player. He kicked the important goals, took a good defender. If you don't believe that your head is in the sand.

NO arguments from me on that. We should have put as much effort into keeping him as we have with Taz and Dids.

Maybe we put more effort in than we realise, only Eddie can answer that. He was in our top three guns and we miss him badly on-field but at least his departure created some cap room and allowed us to acquire Woey.

I would take ND before Woey any day even though I know the majority here wouldn't. Davis is a matchwinner and our hierarchy waited too long to realise this. Why wasn't he offered a three year contract in 2000? Dids has had two 3 year deals, Davis only ever given two year deals. Maybe Malty wasn't a fan. Woey is 4 years older as well.

i think that Nick was a great player and still is, seen as he has kicked like 20, goals 6 for sydney. I cant forget that goal he kicked against us when we played sydney early in the year, that accuracy might have had us in a different position at this stage in the year, we are definately missing him. I am too Confused
