Some simple words to remember, there is no 'easy' victory, all games should be treated the same. You want examples? Okay let's go.

Brisbane Vs St. Kilda
Easy game win for the Lions? No they lost, why? Because they thought that had it won before thet played it. And they ended up losing it, but why did it happen? Brisbane had no respect for the Saints, and it ended with St. Kilda winning the game.

Collingwood Vs Carlton (early last year)
No respect was given to Carlton, though Collingwood had some issues there, it's still the same story.

WE can say how we should thrash Hawthorn this weekend, but I can tell you if the players think the match is won, they are sadly misstaking. I beat Collingwood had the Anzac Day game marked down as a win, but ended up a bad loss. We didn't show them respect, Collingwood need to know that they cannot expect to win, unless they fight to win. It's easy saying that you should win, but proving it's the other thing.

I'm probably going to get one big bagging session for this, but I just have 3 words to say BRING IT ON

I agree, there are no easy games in the AFL anymore.....we need to be playing at our absolute best every week.....no room for complacency at all...

Why have you pre-empted getting bagged? Why would you think you'll get bagged for those comments. They're valid comments, and I think everyone would agree that there are no easy games (eg WC v Bulldogs).

The fact that even Brisbane lost to someone like St Kilda reinforces the fact that a team like Collingwood (not as good as Brisbane) should be even more wary of 'lower' opponents.

Until we string together the next 3 or 4 games, no one will be convinced about us. Everyone is talking of the Kangaroos being the number 1 Victorian team. if we win tomorrow, we'll be half a game behind, but they are yet to face us. WHEN we defeat them (hopefully, remember, no easy games) we should claim the undisputeed title of number 1 Victorian team.

I agree 100% that happens with everything thou coz if u feel like its already won then u dont try ur hardest!

Same is if u go in believing u wont win! If u think why try ill end losing u try half as hard and u do end up losing!

Glenorchy are the masters of this, they come up against a bottom side and they get beat half way through the game and then they finally wake up. Although last year against the Cats (SFL team) they trailed by 7 goals at the end of the first and won by 80+ pts so atleast they woke up at that game

sorry mate you seem to mention Glenorchy ALOT. Like nearly every post,[no i had a rethink, just alot, not every nearly post) would you be interested if i mentioned Kalkee or Donald all the time hmmm? again sorry, but i just had to get it out.

Hawthorn doesnt deserve respect. What they deserved was a good old fashioned thumping. End of Story.

This is the same Hawthron that boos their coach and players. This is the same Hawthorn who blew a 50 point lead against Richmond. Why would i respect a team like that ??

Teams like Hawthorn deserve to be belted and boost our percentage.
