3. Toovey - our best and most reliable defender, also our most damaging with his exceptionally good disposal. (Nick Maxwell stood out also. Harry was good in patches; Buckley started out the way he played last week (dreadful!) but had a much better second half; Brown was badly beaten; Reid was just OK; Heater was invisible.)

2: Thomas - did not star, but a solid contribution on a day when Beams was NQR (took a knock early) and some very nice work at full forward to finish the match.

1. Goldsack - ran harder than anyone else up there and did more - tackles, marks, more of everything. Took a knock and was quiet after that, but still deserves a vote.
