great call

Wasn't it a fantastic call by Eddie. He really got pumped up with each Port Power goal, lavishing them with praise. It really makes a loss like that so much easier to bear when you can listen to the President of your club garner so much excitement watching your team getting beaten.

Although personally I watched with this sinking feeling as my heart was being ripped out.... again. Maybe I'm just taking it too much to heart? Perhaps I should be as detached and professional as the channel 9 commentary team?

im with you ozboy - please ed, youve made your point. you can be even handed. now go back to first and foremost being the collingwood president. there are 7 other games a week you can call.

er i understand why other supporters call eds sidekicks the unofficial pie cheersquad. ed puts a negative spin on things and lyon and brereton pump them back up again. it nearly seems scripted, which it isnt. if the pies had got close though - ed would have got ugly again.

cant say i was paying a lot of attention to the commentating.

ONLY WHEN DENNIS COMMENTATES! cos he always says funny things, easily the best and most entertaining commentator!

The problem is if Eddie says anything in Collingwoods favour he will be accused of being biased. So he goes to far the other way and goes against us. Dennis Commetti is just a dead set wanker.

Don't know why he would want to even commentate Collingwood games. Its not like he needs the money. Surely he would have a better time just watching the game Smile

Anybody who thinks that Eddie is in danger of giving a biased call should listen to the South Australian ABC team. There is one wanker on that team who unashamedly barracks for Port while he's commentating.

Eddie's not in the same league.

Eddie was given royalty status when leaving the ground last night.
He was clapped and cheered and pats on the back.....and not just by Collingwood fans either. A lot of Port colours there to cheering FOR Eddie.
