Post subject: ROCCA - Best CHF in AFL? | |
|
I was just wondering if this man has officially stamped himself the best in the business for his position. He is a very hard player to stop..
He has huge presence, a powerful mark, massive leap, penetrating kick.. and he can play in the ruck and be equally damaging...
I think Ottens is the last person to demonstrate some of these diverse qualities yet I honestly do not believe as a CHF the young Tiger has the same strength in a pack situtation. Possibly one day he will.... |

Agreed.
His best is probably not as good as Treadreas, but he is improving all the time and finding more consistency. I do expect him to peak over the next 3-5 years.
Is becoming a great leader too. |

Let's have a look at some stats from last week:
Tarrant: 22 poss., 17 marks, 6.0 goals
Tredrea: 23 poss., 10 marks, 7.1 goals
I really don't rate Tredrea either

You're kidding aren't you. There is no way in hell that Rocca is the best CHF in the league. At his best he would go close but the only problem with that is he only produces his best every 3 or 4 weeks (if we're lucky).
Rocca is way too inconsistent! |

Tredrea has been playing more at FF though hasnt he.
I dont think Rocca has been nearly as good thus far this season as he was early on last year.
Plenty of room for improvement for the big fella in the remaining part of the season. |

No...Tredrea is better (at chf), Rocca also has the ability to be in the ruck etc, which Tredrea does not...... |

Exactly.. Rocca has the extra string to his bow.. He can play ruck and do more than just compete in it...
I agree he is inconsistent... However his consistency in big games has impressed me... And after last years Grand Final my respect for him has grown enormously... |
