People that hate Eddie just because he is Eddie

I hate the fact that people dislike eddie mcguire purely because of the fact that he is associated with Collingwood.

While i know this sounds more like a whinge rather than a post, I find it so frustrating that people suggest that eddie is evil, a cheat etc etc.

I guess its because their ignorant hate for Collingwood blinds them from realising that Eddie is essentially just a passionate Collingwood person.

It is his hard work not foul play that has gotten the club and himself to the level of excellence that they are at today, and im bloody greatful for it. Anyway i suppose its no skin off our backs if they cant realise that.

i like eddie alot and always have but i guess i am getting sick of him hosting everything when i believe someone else could at least get a go.
but i guess if people didnt like him he wouldnt get so many jobs. he must appeal to heaps of people to be able to have him host stuff

I reckon Eddie is Great!
I think he should be our new GG.
Except that may interfere with his second greatest passion..being the president of the Collingwood Football Club.
His greatest passion would have to be his Family...like most of us!
I find Eddie to be totally honest and has the interests of Collingwood first and foremost in his mind.
If there was someone else around that could do as good as job as Eddie at hosting TV shows...well let them step forward now!

I thought Sheahans dig at Eddie today in his HS article was pathetic.

Eddie was simply echoing the sentiments of the majority of the supporters in regards to changing our guernsey, yet these anti-Collingwood Eddie turds feel the need to make everything personal and turn it into a slanging match because of Eddies supposed huge 'ego'.

Sheahan told Eddie to look at the big picture, I suggest he do the same!

This is a valid topic, illustrated perfectly in the letters section of The Age on Saturday. A Bichmond supporter was (rightfully) whinging about not having their game shown on TV, whereas Collingwood was despite being in Melbourne. Now who did this moron blame...Yes, Eddie - like he does the programming for CHANNEL 10 FFS!

To me 95% of the Eddie bashers seem totally uninformed and merely jumping on the bandwagon because it's the 'in' thing. Even try-hard comedians on TV do it. It is rare that he misses the mark or goes over the top, his appeal and success to me is based on being innovative, proactive and most of all, having a full grasp of the concept of common sense and logic.
