I'm a huge fan of Eddie McGuire but I must admit I was very dissapointed with him when I saw Rob Lowe on the tv singing the song in the huddle.

There are thousands upon thousands of us that would give anything to be in that huddle so to see some overseas celebrity in there was extremely dissapointing.

Huddle for players and officials only please.

Who cares? It creates publicity, which is good for Collingwood.

I spotted him in a group of officials that wandered past the cheersquad, as we were singing our song. I stopped singing and said "there's Rob Lowe" but I do not think anyone heard. I was glad to see the picture in the paper the next day, to prove to myself that I was not hallucinating after spending too much time in the Lockyer Room.

Paper said today, that Lowe's brother told him he had to be a Collingwood supporter, as it was a family thing. Sounds logical to us.

I don't see a problem with it, what about other clubs? Last year Hawthorn (against Collingwood) had WWE superstar Rico at their club, although, he didn't sing the song with them, there's no harm having somone famous at the club. It helps get Collingwood out to the rest of the World..

Eddie is doing what every President would do, get in someone that is an International Star, and take pictures of him at Collingwood. Yes, he did a poor job of signing the song, but we can forgive him...

I dont mind the fact that Rob Lowe was singing the club song, but the fact that the media made such a big deal out of his presence was atrocious.
After the match, I was looking forward to an interview with one of our boys, but no, I had to sit through Gerard Healy interviewing somebody who knows almost nothing about AFL.
It's just a gimmick...

I thought it was great and quite funny when he missed a few of the words.
But good on him, he's a member, bought heaps of gear and has penciled in 9 June game to attend. Plus it generates publicity and Sunday's paper, Pies on front page and back page. Can't get better than that.

I won't even get into the Wayne Jackson/Freo thing. Couldn't you just tell from the smug smile on his face how happy he was an interstate team won over Melbourne. Not that I care Freo won, I tipped them. But he just irritates me.
