I have a little brush with fame that made no consequence with history whatsoever. Bumping one P. Licuria off the ball in the u/15's. I guess you can tell who got the last laugh now though. And another one was helping Shannon Grant cheat on his english exam in Yr. 10. |

You never know. That might have been THE bump that made his career. He probably had a good look at himself in the mirror that night and said "No way am I ever going to let that f*#@en Athas HrysouFriggenLakis bump me off the ball EVER AGAIN"
... and the rest is history ! |

My dad has some fame, in 1990 Tasmania Vs Victoria, John Kennedy ran into him and he was shown on T.V (My dad was working for the Mercury then and was helping a work mate out) He also had a run in with a West Coast player during Fitzroy/West Coast, but I will not comment on that one LOL _________________ Ðavâgé

Nah I don't think it made him Alf.
There's thousands of juniors out there, but when you know the names of opposing players (Paul "Mercuria" as he was known around the teams back then) for other clubs in the juniors, you got a feeling they gotta be their teams best player. |

Well since this has turned into a brush with fame thread i guess, i still remember the day i walked past Gary Ablett in the city. This was about the time he retired and was born Again. i was in grade 5 or 6 and me and friends walked home from school and we walked past him and looked at him and we were smiling and said to ourselves "was that him?" "nah" "yeah?" nah!" so one of my mates ran up to him and asked if he was ablett and well it didn't take long for our exercise books and pens to come out for autographs. On a side note, he was with a very young Gary Jr, maybe about 3-4. |

My brush with fame was talking to Peter Daicos during a South Vs North game when he was in Tasmania. He was also at a Glenorchy game, where some of us Junior magpies got to meet him and get him to sign a picture. He was reportedly going to play with Glenorchy, but the radio station he worked for wouldn't allow him to play and work for the radio aswell. So insread we got Darren Kappler, who I also got to meet, not a bad guy. He signed my flag, I think, I may have to check it out lol _________________ Ðavâgé

I can't find alot of old stuff I had, like old pictures, autographs, things like that. Although I have moved house alot since the early 90s but still, I hate not knowing where my Collingwood stuff is...Atleast I know where my wrestling stuff is because most of it is videos and magazines...easier to find
I wish the rest of it was that simple...atleast I can still find the 1990 Grand final tape we got _________________ Ðavâgé
