I hate to say it and I will get here we go again we lose and Culprit comes and bags us.

We are the "clanger kings", we turn the ball over that often it's not funny.

I have never seen us miss so many set shots and it has nothing to do with pressure. Whether the intensity has dropped off compared to last year I don't know.

We do the hard things to get the ball and then turn it over so simply.

I hope this is our slump for the year and we gain momentum soon. Our skill level is a real worry and when I start saying Bucks is our best player each week I start worrying.

At the moment we seem to be struggling to get a balanced team on the field and appear slow. Pressure makes mistakes, but most of clangers have been done when they are not under pressure.

Yes I am pissed off about losing when we hit the lead with ten minutes to go, but we should never have let them get 8 goals up in the first place.

It certainly seems that we're the clanger kings when it's happening. I've been getting awful flashbacks to the Shaw era watching our blokes racking up easy possessions for the opposition lately.

But I'm sure all teams commit clangers from time to time. It's just that we notice it so much more when it's our players doing it.

I don't think there were too many clangers in that opening 10 minutes the other day. The fact is, the Weagles used the ball so well, we hardly even touched it.

Some of us are blaming bad kicking for goal early in the last quarter for our loss, but when you think about it, the Weagles kicked poorly for goal in the first quarter after that first run of goals that they got. The game should have been over at quarter time.

We had 3 qtrs to catch up....door was never closed by the eagles and they never had the chance to because it was the first qtr. We did have a chance to close the door....leave them 7 mins from final siren and be down by 5 goals.

Even if they were up by 10 goals at qtr time, we would have rallied and come back. You can do that when there is 3 qtrs to go, but you can't come from 5 goals down with 7 mins left....they got a sniff and that's what kept the fuel burning for them. We didn't snuff out their sniff!

Well with the likes of Cole, Mcgough, Cloke, BJ, Molloy is it any wonder, they have no composure under pressure. I do rate Cole as a player though so want him left in the team.

Nicholas - don't know how you can include Molloy in that list...he is actually quite a good kick and is often firing out handpasses from underneath 2 or 3 backmen. And I don't think its a lack of composure under pressure, its just a lack of sufficient skill in the first place.

You are my clanger king Culprit.

I could pull out a few of your posts that have given the opposition...a free kick.

Hey special if you’re going to make an objective comment make one. Pull the posts and post them. I know it may be far from your intellectual capacity to actually have a debate and put forward your view. I state my opinion on what I see as far as football goes, I don't state anything about you whatsoever so pull your head in.

Great getting the ball first especially if you hand it to the opposition that works real well in today's game. Razz

Chicken Wing, Molloy is a horrible kick. Releases the ball with both hands, no guiding hand... and rarely kicks straight at all.

I agree with Nicholas in that there is a relationship between skill and executing it under pressure. Watch some of those clanger kings at training and find they can deliver it well, put pressure on them, they turn it over. One cannot be divorced from the other. Too many of our players do lack composure under pressure and have been found out against the better teams.
