Buck's game today was sensational im now at the opinion nathan buckley is by far the greatest ever collingwood player to wear the black and white, its a pleasure watching nathan buckley play football. _________________ Collingwood today, Collingwood tomorrow,Collingwood forever... we'll always do things the collingwood way... side by side we stick together to uphold the greatest name in football.

I've been saying what a great game he played today for some absurd reason , there are a few who don't agree. |

i agree Joffa, Bucks would hav to be our best player ever, alls u have to do is look at the seasons from around 97-99 when we were at our lowest point in history yet he was still battling his ass off every week |

Agreed Joff.
With all the greats of Coventry, Rose, Daics, Richards etc and never seen any of them play, except #35 of course, i would have to agree, Bucks is the greatest player to put on the B&W.
And yes I even rate him slightly higher than Athas Hrysoulakis. |

he's certainly the best ive seen but today i thought there were two or three occasions where he just had to put his body on the line and take the hit to lock the ball in. hard to be critical when he does it 9 times out of ten but just a couple of instances where he needed to get in and get it rather than stand a metre off and wait for it. another good game however. |

I tell you what I'm very unhappy and disagree with the latter half of your statement.
I didn't see any of that infact I can remember standing under the ball and taking an overhead mark with guys crunching into him but I can't remember him not putting his body over the ball when required.
I wouldn't think a bloke who leads the comp in hard ball gets jibs too many balls. |

Bucks is always underrated, by the press and by supporters alike. Always leads by example, always gives 110%- even when those around him aren't. Just when you think all is lost he does something extraordinary to give us a confidence boost. He won't be fully appreciated until he retires. |

I had this same convo last night and I don't think he is under-rated, it's just the people who speak bad about him are really just jealous of him, because he really is the in the Top 2-3 Quality players in the last 10 years. And being he is from Collingwood what would you expect?? Have you ever spoken to another supporter from another team that has said one good thing about Collingwood?
Guarenteed he was in their team, he would be their God.
But screw em coz he's ours. |

Brendon Gale made a fool of himself of the Sunday footy show by not giving him votes.
Nice to see Brian Taylor question him and tell him that everyone in the triple m box agreed he deserved 3 brownlow votes for his performance. |

I had this guy sitting next to me, in his mates borrowed members reserved seat and he did nothing but bag Bucks constantly. Boy I gave him a mouthful, but after that, all around just hung shit on this guy for the rest of the game. When he kicked that goal, i turned to him and said.....THAT was Buckley who you say is useless, and he turned to me and said.....'He was on his own'.
God i hate morons like that. Doesn't even pay the money to see the game, but just bags Buckley continuously. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |
