Practice Matches in 2012

From the folks over at VFLFOOTY.com, Collingwood will apparently play the Frankston Dolphins in a practice match at Frankston Park Oval on Saturday March 3 next year.

Which is the same day as the NAB Cup match against Melbourne at Docklands. A double-header, perhaps?

Confirmed.

Frankston will host Collingwood in a VFL practice match on Saturday, March 3rd, at 12:00pm down at Frankston Park Oval.

The starting time means that dedicated Magpie die-hards will have about 5 or so hours to make it from Frankston to Etihad Stadium for the NAB Cup match against Melbourne.

This is the only practice match for Collingwood I've seen listed. Anyone have any news on some others?

We usually play a couple of games against Geelong and Bendigo as they have no VFL reserves either. At Goschs Paddock and Kardinia Park.

We'll let you know as soon as it's known. Waiting for the Christmas period to be over then no doubt the club will have everything finalised by then.

� Saturday 25th Feb OR Sunday 26th February (Date TBC) � Geelong vs Collingwood (Venue TBC) (Time: 12.00pm)

� Saturday 3rd March � Frankston vs Collingwood @ Frankston Park Oval (Time: 12.00pm)

� Saturday 10th March � Blues vs Collingwood @ Princes Park (Time: TBC)

� Saturday 17th March OR Sunday 18th March (Date TBC) � Geelong vs Collingwood @ Kardinia Park (Time: 12.00pm)

Yeh sorry guys been interstate and without a computer for a few weeks (old one shat itself and officially resigned)!! But yeh, those are the dates!

Any chance that we might get the 1st praccy match played at Vicky Park, or even Gosch's, seeing as the venue is TBC at this stage?

Be Nice and Easy for me to get to the Frankston Practice Match

Last year the first practice game was down at Skilled, so I'd say we'd be trying to get at least one practice match at our 'home' venue.

Shouldn't be too long before we find out.
I'll only be able to make the 10th of March match due to work. Need at least one to get back into the swing of things! No wonder the players need a couple!! Very Happy

Thanks to this handy PDF file from the VFL website, the final schedule for our 4 VFL practice matches is confirmed. They are, as follows:

� Saturday 25th Feb � Geelong vs Collingwood @ Kardinia Park (Time: 11.00am)

� Saturday 3rd March � Frankston vs Collingwood @ Frankston Park Oval (Time: 12.00pm)

� Saturday 10th March � Blues vs Collingwood @ Princes Park (Time: 11:00am)

� Sunday 18th March � Geelong vs Collingwood @ Kardinia Park (Time: 11.00am)

Note that matches 1 and 4 have been re-scheduled an hour earlier than originally posted, at 11:00am.
