Huh? I never said anything about those things. If you're going to temporarily pull threads and edit posts, at least pin the problem on the correct donkey, please. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. I wasn't singling you out, or blaming you... yours was simply the last post left after the 'pruning', thats all. My 'habit' is just to leave a note on the last post in the thread.... |

^ Why are you posting on my thread Pied Piper?
You really are an addict aren't you. Threatened to go away a week ago because you were offended by me (diddums), and yet you're the one keeping up all the barbs on my threads.
Back to the subject.
Richmond will be very very dirty on Port Power for snapping up John McCarthy after he was training with them. I wonder how much cash the AFL is chipping in for J Mac's salary? |

Why do you bother? I'm not going away, although I'm amazed you get away with posting NOTHING but personal abuse in any of your posts. |

I was responding, and in good humour, to Hiss, actually. You may be surprised to know Nick's isn't all about you, but then you are a narcissist.
Now, to use your words, piss off. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. Then we could live in peace and tranquillity, and no one would know anything." - Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen |

Anybody going to post anything on-topic?
Here's another good article from the Roar, which I disagree with.
http://www.theroar.com.au/2011/10/02/vfl-model-not-right-for-sanfl/
Personally I think the VFL model would be perfect in SA. Instead of having this bogus separation of entities where Port Adelaide Power and Port Adelaide Magpies are totally separate financial organisations, creating stupid duplication, they could be one club again.
Port Adelaide could field a team in the AFL called the Power and a team in the SANFL called the Magpies, pretty much the same as Collingwood and Geelong do now.
It would have massive benefits for Port and for Adelaide, concentrate all of the AFL listed players into those 2 clubs meaning all the others could focus on developing their own (ala Port Melbourne) and they could require Port and the Crows to play a minumum number of SANFL listed players.
Depending on the cycle the AFL club is at would depend on how competitive their SANFL club would be.
IMO, most of the bullshit restrictions are petty and stupid and the sooner the SANFL is given a leather enema administered at high velocity, the better for the game overall. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I think Port will gone if they don't start changing things soon.
I've always hated the idea of expanding the league to 18 teams, I always thought it was not necessary to bring in GCS and GWS.
I'm a traditionalist and have always believed that the survival of every Victorian Club is essential. Imagine if Collingwood had poor finances. It's easy to get rid of teams but within these teams there are supporters as well just like us. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

You just don't like my post because I'm disagreeing with you troll! You obviously can't handle the fact that there's any opposition to your agenda ridden views so you try and paint everyone that doesn't agree with your supposed "truth" as wrong. There's no "black and white" in your world joke there's only the monotone. _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |

You idiot. That post is on topic. Surely you'd be better spending your time drooling over internet porn than blighting Nicks with your ridiculous discredited trolling. _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |

The problem is the mistake of having one composite state team and then introducing a football club with half a history. I know people support Sturt in the SANFL and Port Power in the AFL, and then theres the other camp that believe that there should be one Port in the AFL (wearing black and white) , to top it off there’s the Port Magpie die-hards who believe Port power are usurpers to their identity so therefore they support the Crows. Port Adelaide in the AFL has never had a consistent supporter base or identity.
The AFL are committed to having two teams in SA and rightly so, but it doesn’t mean that it has to be called Port Adelaide. The only real way you can fix this not one thing or the other situation is to re-badge Port Adelaide as another composite SANFL team. That way you can an effective reserves set up. Even then the SANFL will find some way to f#*K it up. _________________ Pi = Infinite = Collingwood = Always

Port and North should go immediately. After 4 years, GWS should also fall on their sword and a another club to balance the fixture. I'd be happy for one of Bulldogs, Hawks or Dees to go. | I would have said either the Dees or Bulldogs. Bulldogs supporters are some of the biggest Collngwood haters I know and considering they are so lacking in gratitude for what our club has done for them I say let them die. _________________ WELLLINGHAM ROVES IT....AND KICKS THE GOAL!!!!
