Post subject: Draws - Get rid of 'em! | |

Thank Christ we didn't have a draw on Saturday night. It leaves both teams feeling totally unfulfilled. Why don't the AFL just get rid of 'em for good, just like finals. Keep the Grand Final cos nobody wants to lose a GF in extra time but get rid of all others I reckon. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Nope, can't agree. I don't like draws, but I'd hate to lose a game in extra time.
Take Saturday night, for example. If that had turned out to be a draw, after all our hard work of repeatedly fighting to get back into the game, well, I would've hated losing it in 5-10 minutes of extra time or a kick-off. |

Draws are here to stay. Even if it just to spite that Dick from The Australian. Sorry I'm mistaken his name's not Dick, its Patrick. _________________ Scooby Doo says "I've been to Lexus too." |

I'm all for KEEPING draws. Drawn matches go down as epic battles. However, if extra time was ever introduced (I hope it never is), perhaps they should take a leaf out of the NHL (National Hockey League in the US) and award the loser in extra time 2 points (and the winner 4, naturally). |
