Collingwood could get Dacy 2 ways

From The Draft, at the end of the Season he is out of contract, and may look to move on from the Bulldogs, which is probarly unlikely.

And, the Bulldogs could trade Darcy (or sell) to Collingwood, which would help the Bulldogs, stay alive, but they would be without a ruckman. But there's some serious doubts to wheather or not he will be with Collingwood he could end up at another club (I.E Brisbane, North Melbourne, or other) So it is very possible that Collingwood could get Luke Darcy next year. But that's not really certain at this time. I'd wait until the end of the season to think about Darcy leaving the Bulldogs.

NOW that would be great for us. It would be like the missing the piece to the puzzle, with a good, solid competant ruckman.....mmmm that's what Premierships are made of Razz

BUT...I seriously doubt it. We would have to give up a hell of a lot for him and from looks of things past, I doubt we are willing to do that. We are building a great team atm and we wouldn't want to upset the old apple cart me thinks.

Speaking of the Bulldogs.....I heard a rumour on 3AW the other night about Nathan Brown coming to us next year as his contract expires at the end of this season! It never ends Rolling Eyes

Collingwood has a preimership side now, they just need to play better. They need all their good players firing at once so then we can have a chance of winning a flag. But we still lack a full forward even if Tarrant is playing well. Woewodin needs to lift now that Lockyer is out for the season. Maybe young McGough will play well as he did this time last year. WE can only hope, still we do need a stable ruckman because sadly Fraser's not looking that good. See if we had Darcy we will have a very good centre line Mckee can play in say the Backline, send Rocca to the forward line. And have both as resting ruckmen, Nathan Brown can play in the forwardline or somewhere.

Post subject: Luke Darcy is likely to leave the BulldogsReply with quote

Luke Darcy is undervalued in his current contract with the Bulldog on market prices by upto 25%. This includes a voluntary 15% contract reduction required to keep the Bulldogs afloat. Darcy is at his peak value now at with 4-5 years left in his career he needs to guarantee at least a fair market value contract to setup his family after football. The Bulldogs can not provide this and Darcy Management are resigned to consider a move. Collingwood has the room on the Salary Cap and the greatest need for Darcy's services. The Bulldogs with be seeking high draft picks and/or young player/s with great potential. Sydney would also be an option.

Very true, I think that most of the AFL clubs would want to get Luke Darcy, right now he's playing really well. As fare as younger players, I think that the Bulldogs may want draft picks. Because I don't think that Collingwood (or Sydney) would want to get rid of some of the young players. Although there are a few Collingwood rookies that could be sent to the Bulldogs (No offesne to them but I think Luke Darcy would be a better option.
