The Buckley bar is pretty high at the moment..
I reckon he will get 3 brownlow votes, also is starting to show us glimpses of (ground play not so much kicking for goal) what he will be like when he goes forward.
He is a bloody star and one of the top three players in the league and believe he was in the top 5 on the field last night.
Imagine trying to run 20km a match and having to carry one of the opposition dragging on your jumper all night.
If he had of kicked straight he would have been sensational last night (as usual)... |

Bux was targeted by the filth and had very few touches that were not under pressure. It showed.
But, as usual, he played an important part in getting us past the post in the last qtr.
I was more impressed with O'Brees game. 30 touches and starting to show glimpses of his best form.

Bucks still had a good game, just not as good as he did last week but he cant do that every week he is only human. I thought everyone had a good game and we are looking to keep on winning games and have a good year.

Bux got a lot of the ball and was tagged all night, often by two opponents at stoppages, but he made a lot of errors, inclusing skill errors that you just don't see Buckley make. Even thouhg he had a good game, and probably was in the top three at the end of it, he wont be happy about his kicking particularly. Not sure if Ling will be playing next week, but look for Bucks to be utterly dissapointed in his game and give the wanker a bath! |

he stiill had a good game top 3 for mine we mark his game to highly for what he has done in the past if he gets 30 touches we consider that quiet for buckley.he also had a few ordinary kicks but there was a comment made by a few players that the ball was a bit soft |

He definitely had a good game and he knows how to get the ball - but he certainly wasn't as effective as last week and we saw more forced and unforced errors from Bucks which we're not used to seeing. He got caught with the ball a couple of times, kicked out on the full - but you know he'll always work hard to make up for the mistakes (and we know how p'd off he gets with himself!). The whole team needs to improve their ball handling and skill level for next week.
GO PIES!

Yep. He plays at such a high standard that a 30 possies game is a bit of a let-down to some. Two games, 6 votes from me. _________________ Donny.

Didnt have a huge impact but still managed to rack up 30 possies and kick a goal. A sign of a true champion and this topic is proof that w eare spoiled by his consistent brilliance. _________________ Those with the most invested are the last to surrender!

I would have put only O'Bree as better than him on the ground. He still (and always will) bob up in the right places when we need him most. Just like champions do. |

was definately a workmans game, not too much flashy stuff, just hard at it and bought others into the game.
nothing pleased me more than in the first quarter when he picked up the ball on the run from 50 and palmed of koutafidamedies and kicked that goal.......carlton mate i was watching the footy with hated it ! |

I tell you what's irked me a bit when they were showing highlight's of the round , they didn't show Bucks mark going back with the flight of the ball. |

Todays HeraldSun gives Bux "BOG"!
Thats 2 weeks in a row he has got the perfect 5 votes.
Here's Bruce Mathews votes;
5: N. Buckley
4: S. O'Bree
3: C. Tarrant
2. B. Fevola
1: A. Williams
I agree with the mix of players, but I would have had them in this order;
5: C. Tarrant
4: A. Williams
3: N. Buckley
2: S. O'Bree
1: B. Fevola

I would've had kouta in there before fevola - fevola played well but kouta's second quarter kept carlton in teh game. fevola was teh beneficiary of many of koutas centre clearances.
