Hello peoples,
What are your thoughts about pebbles starting the carlton game in the ruck....
He seems a little off the boil atm....generally when he can get his hands on the ball early and get some touches he regains his confidence....with Frasers return....perhaps our forward line may be TOO TALL anyway???
For mine....I would have pebbles in the ruck for the first 20 minutes and start fraser up forward and Mckee on the bench.....
Dont get me wrong I think Stunning did great job last week, but I think he may be better used off the bench....we need him healthy and fit come september...... _________________ THE PIES GO MARCHING ON

its all good stuff, I'd be inclined to put McKee in the starting ruck spot, with Rocca at CHF, if Josh is fit put him on HF flank. I think we could win this with half a side, we will flog Carlscum by 15 goals!!!

Sometimes starting in the ruck can have the desired effect of making a player (Rocca) more focussed, give a better feel of the game and get them into the thick of the action immediately. Anthony has admitted that this ploy has worked for him in the past when he has been a little flat. Whether that is the case now of course is debatable.
Thommo, please explain "no name dago blues" comment.
I thought those types of derogatory comments were a thing of the past regardless of who they were aimed at.
If by "dago" you mean players/supporters of ethnic origin (italian) then obviously Collingwood is infested - Rocca, Licuria, Prestigiacomo
I think I know the emotion you wanted to convey via your post but, your end comment missed the mark and IMO is not Collingwood |

Yeah not a bad idea Terry. Just til he gets more of a feel for things. Could work, and if it doesnt, whack him in the forward line. May as well give it a go. _________________ Those with the most invested are the last to surrender!

I think it all comes down to one thing primarily with our man Rocca, the quality of the delivery from the middle. Either set it up for him to hit the pack from behind or get it out in front of him.
CHF for him. Ruck will see the man cough and wheez in no time. _________________ It was love at first sight. |

Agreed SD. I think Ant can pinch hit in the ruck so starting there may be an option but not for too long. His role is in the forward half. He will get better as the year goes. CHF is where he plays his best footy and he will take games apart this year.
This week just might be a game he takes apart. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.
