Did anyone hear about the change of the magpie in the emblem?
Eddie was on air saying in future the magpie will officially be facing to the left not to the right, reason- something about copyright with some american ball club. Not good news!!!

Assassin, it was a decision made by the New Magpies (Ranald MacDonald and his crew). They were supposedly embarking on a new era for our great club and didn't approve of the bird on the emblem looking backwards, so they changed its direction (to forward) as they insisted they themselves were doing.

geesh! no wonder we were hopeless during that era! you mean the old magpie looked like the one on the left below and the new or current maggie is the one on the right? they're both looking backwards in my opinion! If they wanted the bird to look forward then why didnt they design one without its head turned! Dunno who was the brainiack who came up with that idea.

Well that's what you do when you're in front... look backwards.

Not much point in looking backwards if you're down the back - so the look over the shoulder is a good look - in my opinion.
