Guys i'm a beatles nut and i agree with the reviews on this set, i 've seen some of it and it looks crappy. Best beatles video i've seen is the Compleat beatles. Save your money and buy this instead if you can

will you still love me will you still need me, when i'm 64?

who cares if its crap or not? its the Beatles so there has to be something worthwhile there - i'd still buy it even if it had the worst reviews imaginable!

The price is a bit high. I've seen it a HMV for $99.95 but i guess you don't get magical Magical Mystery Tour with it and the chance to win a poster.
Oh and I don't know how a cell can we worth anything when the beatles didn't even take part in the fim except at the end. And the cell isn't even signed by any of the beatles!

Until Collingwood win their next flag (and lets hope its this year) this will be my essential DVD viewing . I would certainly recommend it to anyone with a marginal interest in music.

MG, this is the official anthology that was shown on TV about '95/'96 and spawned the track "Free as a bird" produced by Jeff Lynne.
That though only takes up 4 DVD's, the fifth is completelly new unshown material.
I@nS, the word is Cel, not Cell. Short for Animation Celluoid. True the Beatles had no real say in the production, but collectors don't particularly need that to place a value upon the Cel. And a signature does not guarantee a higher value.

-Craig

P.S. For anyone interested in Cels, or Animation art in general, there is a major exhibition about to take place in Melbourne.
It's at SilverK in Armadale,
www.silverkgallery.com.au
,and features the daughter of Chuck Jones, with a release of Chucks own archive Cels. Linda Jones will be in attendance April 12th and 13th.

Sorry, me again.
Here's a local link for some "Fab" lithographs. If you like Ali, you may want to check it out as well.

ok so now i'm quite excited - is there really new material on the dvds?!!! I had no idea - thought all the new stuff had all come out with the boxed video anthology set in 96!! With the added bonus of magical mystery tour - what more cld you want??!! Silver K gallery often have showings of beatles pics, whether they be cels or actual photographs. Well worth the trip down to high st to see it.

Molly07, check the link in the very first post of this thread regarding the 5th DVD.
I've only repeated to you the text that is available on that page.
