I wrote this a month or more ago, was going to post it, but somehow forgot... Hope you enjoy

We might as well sound the siren
Welcome, give three cheers
To the greatest Magpie football team
We have seen in years

Adelaide might think they�re tough
But really they are fairies
Fancy giving up guaranteed youth
For the old man known as Carey

Brisbane Lions look out
Because no true supporter cares
We all know who you really are
A propped up AFL Bears

Caaarlton are feared by none
They are old and have lost their funds
They don�t know if the rule is sons-father
Or if it�s father- sons

Essendon have been brave
In the light of losing some stars
But you can�t buy them mini miners Kev
If you promised them sports cars

Fremantle have been impressive
On the training track
But when they get to the real stuff
They turn back into hacks

Geelong are the �youth� of the league
A team that don�t want quitters
But they don�t have after match parties
They just have baby-sitters

Hawthorn is the glamour-boy team
Who play without a care
Except for when it�s half time
There�s a queue to brush their hair

Kangaroos are doing okay
They seem to have broken the shackles
They sold some stuff to raise some funds
Plus 22 chocolate crackles

Melbourne are still the chardonnay set
The team known as the Dees
The �members� only go to games
When they can�t find their skis

Port are the biggest pretenders
For a team of their size
They like to think they are good
But we are the real Magpies

Richmond are a team of hopefuls
But their supporters get upset
When they lose the �bandis� choose
To support the chardonnay set

Sydney are the red and whites
The team from the harbour city
But don�t follow them if you like winning
Because you�ll end up shitty

St.Kilda are the saints
Who look okay on paper
But you must be tougher than a cream puff
To play well in the aussie rules caper

West Coast Eagles are triers
Their supporters are even more trying
A bunch of front runners I tell you
And there�s no way I am lying

Western Bulldogs have no bite
They never had it at all
But you need more than a wag of a tail
When you�re going for the ball

So as you can see the odds look okay
You might even say they�re good
A premiership is on its way
For the good old Collingwood
