Appears we have won the race for a 212 cm who gave footy away in 2021 to try out for NBA
At 19 he has committed to us if NBA doesn’t go well —he’s a WA boy

Other clubs have been circling him

This is a huge pick up. Literally and figuratively.

Alex Condon is 211cms and 104kgs
Bring on mid-2024 when he can run out in Black and White.
And, he can actually play the game very well...
He comes with no training wheels...

In 1979, if this recruit was a drink, it would be called a "Claytons".

😝

I always wanted to know what the joke preceding this punch line was? 🤠

Actually, back in the 80s, Jack Thompson did tell the joke in full on a late nite talk show [can't for the life of me remember which one...], at the request of the host who asked was there an actual joke to that punchline.
It can't have been too graphic, or either he censored the content to suit the segment. I would have been 12 or 13 at the time watching this, and IIRC the joke went "over my head" so to speak, but the host and audience certainly laughed hard when it was told in its entirety.
But it certainly warrants further Googleing!
