Imagine not being able to defend 215 on your home ground. Hilarious.

A bit harsh to call bad fielding as it was split second stuff.

When David hit that ball, there were 3 possibilities: Oz win, with a four. (Phillips unsuccessfully attempting to stop the ball). NZ win with the ball fielded and thrown in, conceding just 1 or 2 runs. Super over, in the unlikely event of 3 runs scored.

A bitter pill for Glenn Phillips and NZ, to swallow.

"Coach Andrew McDonald says Steve Smith set to open batting in Auckland as Australia continue to trial different combinations ahead of the T20 World Cup

Steve Smith remains firmly in Australia's planning for the upcoming T20 World Cup despite being left out of the starting XI in last night's final-ball win over New Zealand, with the former skipper flagged to play as opener in at least one of the remaining games against the Black Caps.

Smith's place in the T20 pecking order has been a source of ongoing speculation given he's not played in the T20 international format since late last year, and a number of other contenders for top-order batting berths at the World Cup have staked claims ahead of him.

But Australia men's team coach Andrew McDonald confirmed Smith will get an opportunity at Eden Park in Auckland, where the current T20 campaign against NZ will be completed yesterday and Sunday."

Really like this Tim David to me he is the future of t20 and a star already.

Could be the next best thing.

And be one of the worlds best t20 batters of all time.

Can also bowl a bit of spin and seam bowling as well and handy in the field.
