Did Ed Allen play?

Yes. I thought he looked a little lost when he started in the square. He may yet be a midfielder but he’s no clearance player.
Sometimes it takes a while for these tall hybrids to find their best position ( similar to McInnes ) but the more I see of him, the more he looks like a winger or a third tall defender to me.

If it was real season and us with our tried and true 22 a much different game would have been

I’m pretty stoked. We won the care factor cup - no major injuries.
Love the sense of purpose around the joint, and Kingee saying he hasn’t seen a premiership team come back stronger. He’ll I’d almost play the Under 19s against Ninthmond. Come to think of it does anyone have Fatuui Attah’s number?

The scoreboard didn’t really worry me, Nth Melb has had almost a month of extra training. 1st quarter ball movement was amazing and showed what we are really about. Key defence a bit of a worry but most of our backline was missing.
We were average in the pre-season games in 2023 then it was a different story in Round 1.

My observation at AIA was that Collingwood did their match sim drills in the first half and left to north to do their thing in the second half
I think we did what was intended and that gave north a chance
As in all in all another nice hit out and another opportunity to get match fit
Kind of some conditioning
Rest up to take on the tigers
Probably start to bring back some premiership players
And shake our line up
I think we are still experimenting
Will be the same case next week at ikon park
I think this Friday there’s another training session

Every game whatever it is has positive’s win or loss

Here’s some.
New recruit Shultz will be value+
Same for Sullivan
Step ups from McRae ,McInnes and Johnson

Add no injury,s

Pendlebiury and Sidebottom were totally eclipsed. Plainly North are the Premiers-in-waiting and Collingwood is looking at a bottom-4 finish. Over the years, so many premierships have been won and lost in the third week of February that's it almost impossible to see how we come back from here.

If you can believe what’s been listed on the Footy Live app then we’ve named 19 premiership players amongst an extended bench of 8 and the 18 on field, plus Krueger, Ryan, Richard and Sullivan as emergencies

So, pending tactics, seems like we’re taking this one fairly seriously

who going to ikon the old princess park this evening v the tigers.
im tossing up on going but if not ill watch it at a city pub.
im a bit worried on this one.
just as long as its brusie free.
i think we will be ultra carefull.
in which probably means tigers win it.
even tho the pies weather in the girls or blokes play ikon park really well.
in the aflw collingwood have a great record there and even better then at vic park.
i would have picked the same team as played north and a kind of vfl line up to it.
but like to know anyone actully going to ikon.
let me know cheers go pies.

It's embarrassing watching/listening to some people carry on in the crowd. It's a non-event. No 4 points in this game.

Couldn’t agree more! Do they mass produce feral fans over the summer? Dumb as dog shit. I couldn’t give a rats who wins the game as long as we don’t add to the injury list. That’s far more important. Hopefully Howe and Pendles will be back for when it really matters when the season starts.
