Wouldn't risk Howe, but even if he was fit... who are you replacing?

If he was fit, that wouldn't be the question! It'd be more like who gets to play alongside him.

I just watched the Coxy running goal again. So good!!

Something has me worried though.
De Goey is seen making a lead. He slips and lands on his injured finger. It looks as though it hurt.
I hope like hell he is OK.

With no new issues from the past week and with the AFL and Club reports due tomorrow (Walsh might beat them tonight, we'll see)...

From last week:
Quote:
Chris Mayne (We'll have a better idea in a few more days, but is a chance to return Vs Port or in the first final).

Will Kelly (Possible to see Kelly resume full training and be available before the season is done. Unreal if he gets back).

Brayden Sier (Getting close. Has returned to training).

Flynn Appleby (3-4 week hamstring injury).

Tom Phillips (3-4 week hamstring injury).

Jeremy Howe (No timeline on a return yet).

Tom Langdon (Will attempt to get through training this week to become available for the practice game. Pulled up sore and would be unlikely to play).

Nathan Murphy (Facial surgery on eye socket and cheekbone. Won't play again in 2020).

Does anyone know if Langdon played in the practice game?

I think Mayne is the only chance to come in Vs Port. Unbelievably, Kelly and Sier are next. With news on Howe to come.

We've had some bad luck with injuries this year, but overwhelmingly they haven't been soft tissue type things. As well, nobody much left on the injuriy list who's vital to our chances except Howe, but I think he's not gonna make it. So good work by medicos.

The issue this year is not health of the stars, but the cohesion and connectedness of the players. At this stage, there seems to be very little fluidity and predictability in our play, but let's see if Treloar and JDG begin to turn that around.

Just looking at the outs for West Coast, it may be a good time to get them, even in Perth.

Yeah, maybe. But I'd rather not have to fly to Perth again this year. If we lose to Port on Monday, that's a possibility tho. Imagine going to Perth, beating WCE, then having to go to SA to fave Port Adelaide. Then getting past that to play Richmond or Geelong at the Gabba and then beating the Lions in the GF.... IN BRISBANE. My gosh, it'd be the biggest finals series of all time.

We can dream.

Haven't heard from Walshy yet. But here's the morons at AFL.com.au......

And my gosh...

Updated: Wednesday, September 16

COLLINGWOOD:

Adam Treloar - Hamstring (1 week) INCORRECT: You absolute idiots. He played against the Suns and has pulled up nicely. Are they serious???
Ben Reid - Hamstring (1-2 weeks) INCORRECT: He played in the practice match and was an emergency against the Suns. He is available for selection.
Brayden Sier - Quad (1-2 weeks)
Chris Mayne - Cheekbone (1-2 weeks)
Tom Phillips - Hamstring (1-3 weeks)
Jeremy Howe - Knee (1-3 weeks)
Steele Sidebottom - Personal (Indefinite)
Will Kelly - Elbow (Season) Incorrect. But can almost forgive them for this one. The news is he is a chance to play in the coming weeks.

Quote:
There are high hopes from within Collingwood that Howe, Mayne, Phillips and Sier could be given the all-clear to play in the first week of finals. However, round 18 looks out of the picture. The club is still working through plans to enable Sidebottom to get back to Queensland, having returned home to Victoria for the birth of his child. Riley Beveridge

https://www.afl.com.au/matches/injury-list

No mention of Appleby who is out for a further 2-3 weeks with a hamstring. No mention of Murphy, who is going to miss the rest of the season. They were incorrect on Reid last week and are again this week. And they are incorrect with Kelly, as they were last week even though that one is almost a forgivable mistake. Also feel like they are guessing on Howe.

But to list Treloar, when he played and is fine... This is the official AFL website. WTF are they doing?? Again, their lack of research is shown with these mistakes.

Anyway, lets wait to hear from Walshy who gives us a far more accurate list that the turds at afl.com.au.

I still fear for Langdon who may be going the way of Ben Sinclair and Lee Walker.

Presti not sure if Langdon played the practice match can’t find any details anywhere confirming or denying either way but can tell you he visited offices of doctor Peter Myers today who is the knee surgeon specialist up this way
Obviously don’t know if it was just a routine follow from his surgeon in Melbourne because of being in the hub and can’t be seen down there so had been referred or something to do with him pulling up sore after 1st quarter of practice match over a week ago
I guess either way not being able to complete another practice match (that’s 4 of 5 now he’s failed to complete) doesn’t bode well for his future
