Go better than expected and he might be a sneaky chance.
Get monstered and the selection decision will be an easy one. |
Tru dat.
Fly does not want to set the kid up to fail.......but if he rips it in today's VFL game, he will surely come into strong consideration. |

He looked OK at the centre bounces but Naismith got the better of him around the ground and when the ball was thrown up. Probably too early for him. If he was any chance they would not have let him play the full game given we play Thursday night. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

^ We lost the hitouts 71 to 26 and the clearances 53 to 37. You'd think there's a bit of work to do before he gets a senior game. |

The kid needs someone to teach him how to use his body. I played ruck as a 19 yr old against guys 30kg heavier and 10 years older, you can compete if you use your brain in how you use your body. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

First time I have seen the kid this year.
19 years old who was taken as a rookie he looks like he might be a keeper.
204 cm and a future ruck for us.
The boy has a great marking leap.
He can take a hanger.
Imagine him and Johnson in the forward line!!!
Long way to go but he maybe worth investing in him for the long run |

Easily, his best game today. There’s a lot to like. If you read his junior profile, he’s always been a strong mark and a nice kick but the question mark was more on his ruck craft. We need to remember he’s still a teenager up against men every week, so he’s a work in progress but he’s got some serious upside.
Slightly off topic but still on VFL rucks, Begg has put on some serious size (weight ) over the off season. Should help his game but there’s no guarantees. It will be interesting to see how both their seasons unfold. |

I like Begg. But I question ‘what role in AFL?’ Skinny body for ruckman. Higher centre of gravity than typical ruck. Gets outmuscled most often at stoppages and does not take enough contested marks or is reliable enough as a down the line target. For a tall has great recovery and second efforts. Above average agility and reads the play ok. Seems to be very diligent. But yet to do the big man stuff well enough. Only his third VFL game for the year so let’s see how he keeps improving over the next few weeks. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

The club should be grooming Begg for a key Position CHB/CHF not as a ruckman. _________________ Believer |
