Chugg was a rookie, so isn’t it 4 in and 5 out? To use picks 16, 25, 27 - doesn’t that mean both poulter and Magden must be gone?

Yeah something like that, thanks for the service guys. Maybe rookie Madge.

There is not a lot of love for Poulter from the club after his antics in pre-season. He was open about leaving the club and going home.
I doubt hes on the list when all said and done.

P2016, by all accounts next year's draft is much stronger than this years, what chance do you think we would we have of converting one or two of our picks this year into a future first rounder for next year?

Would be good to have a pick inside top 10 at least.

Also a pick in the 30s

What I'd like to see:

Ash Johnson into #4. (He did wear #40 for Sturt tho, and may want to keep it for Collingwood).
Mitchell will get #6. (wore 6 for Swans, Barry wore 6 for Collingwood).
Frampton to #11
Begg to move to #16. (worn for Eastern Rangers)
Hill to #17
Will Kelly should move to #23. McStay to #20.
Carmichael to move to #29
Dean to move to #34
Daicos stays in #35.
#39, #40 and #43 to go to new draftees.
#45 to go to cat b rookie.

#24/#44 could also be available soon. (McStay to #24 if Poulter is gone and Will decides to keep #20. AND #44 to go to rookie draftee if Madge is gone).

Post subject: Re: Trade Period over, now what? (Madgen/Poulter)Reply with quote

We hold picks 16, 25, 27 and 51.

Trading of draft picks is still to come in the coming weeks, with the draft on the 28th of November. (Pre-Season Draft and NAB AFL Rookie Draft on the 30th of November).

So we could still see some movement re:draft picks. Would love to get that pick 6 from the Hawks. Doubtful it could be done tho.

We currently have only 2 list spots open. With only Madgen and Poulter unsigned. (One of them will have to make way to open up the third draft selection). We also have 1 Rookie and 1 Cat B spot open. This means Poulter or Madge could be re-rookied. Would love to fill the Cat B spot with McKenna, but he looks like going to the Cats.

The Delisted Player Free Agency Period is in early November. We can keep an eye on that if there's any delisted players of interest to look at. But with only 2 free spots and a delisting still to come, we might not be looking at anyone.

Delisted players of interest:
Tom Phillips, Liam Stocker, Jackson Callow, Quinton Narkle, Jarrod Brander, Daniel Howe, and Connor Downie. Collier-Dawkins is yet to be delisted, but seems likely.

And one to rattle a few in here:
Mitch Robinson (who retired but now looking to play on). Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (also retired, but looking like Essendon or Freo).
