I think this is the power of Wright, Browne and Kelly. The “punishment” would have been agreed Friday last week. Would have gone something like this:
AFL: “Hi everyone, look we all know this is rubbish, but we can’t just do nothing…”
Pies brains trust: “look, he’s embarrassed, and we all agree it’s a bit unsavoury. He’ll apologise, but if you make a big deal of it we will fight you, and that won’t end well given your inconsistency on these matters in the past”.
AFL: “sounds good to us, moving on…”

Not defending the Stalinist reeducation camps, but the US government destroyed most of Vietnam with napalm, agent orange etc, and the resulting conditions were barbaric.
When barbarism is imposed, expect barbarism in return.
Sorry, comparison of AFL re-education programs with the aftermath of Vietnam war is too inappropriate to let go through to the keeper.
The AFL "Re-education programs" are pathetic maneuvres which aim to keep up the pretence that the AFL cares about integrity and the moral development of the future generation.
They try to maintain this facade, even whle they encourage young people to gamble at every opportunity.

Yep, even the ultra hypocritical leaders of the AFL did not dare to use Jack as an example of their "concern for integrity and respect for women". They knew that if they did, they would create a backlash of such huge proportions that it would blow apart their entire charade of "morality".
I think it would be beneficial if the individual who leaked these videos were pursued legally.
Such an example would deter trolls like this in the future.

so, an general apology to the 'whole world', in case anyone is offended by something, nothing specific. This is an absolute joke. He has had his name dragged through the mud for no apparent reason. The AFL have basically said that they don't care about something this old, which does not really show anything anyway.
so, why was this plastered over the news for a whole week. |
