Yep, should sack McRae tonight and put promote Bolton to senior coach. I always said Voss was a better choice.

Can you make sure McRae luggage gets redirected to Honolulu.

Genuinely fascinating game....Carlton look out of form, but things can change....they have alot to play for. They are missing a huge chunk of their best starting midfield in (Kennedy, Hewitt, Martin.) So we should break even given our midfield is hardly setting the world on fire. The game will be won or lost on our pressure.

4.7 million dollar question, did the loss help refocus us? Or were we simply running off momentum week to week? I have always like to think the former is true.

As I said in the game thread, I am worried about Maynard looks to be battling with his shoulder.

Call me crazy, I don't think Ginnivan is a huge loss, I feel like he has been due for a rest for awhile. I really hope Henry gets a game, but from what I gather he was quite in the VFL. Will Kelly? Or Mcrae as a forward?

It depends on whether DeGoey plays or not.I reckon he’s the difference between winning or losing.

Collingwood playing for Top 4, Carlton playing for Top 8. Which teams wants it more? Is Carlton's desire for finals stronger than our desire for a double chance? This is the burning question?

Funny how a loss makes you doubt if we'll win again? Before today I thought we may just win every week, but now everything seems turned on its head.

If JDG doesn't play I don't think we win this game. Our midfield depth is not strong enough to cover his loss against a side desperate to win, which I expect Carlton to be. Having said that, Carlton's no Sydney and we should be able to move the ball better and the MCG helps too.

Tough one to call, genuine 50/50. If we lose I don't see us beating Richmond in an EF. They are flying at the right time and have more weapons than us. It would really suck and be a horrible way to finish the season with 3 straight losses. I think all of us would feel a little let down after 11 wins in a row if that were to happen.

Don't think Ginnivan is the loss some may think. He has been coasting for 8 weeks. Was rumoured Henry didn't complete the Reserves Match and registered only 8 possessions with no goals.

Suggested changes:

OUTS:

* C Brown: the uncertainty each time he gets the ball is untenable
* Bianco: flatlined
* WHE: cannot win a contest or hardball get. Time has come
* Carmichael: just cannot seem to find enough easy ball and impact
* Ginnivan: hamstring injury

INS:

* DeGoey: hopefully fit
* F Macrae: another 30 possession, 2 goal game needs rewarding
* Henry: if fit take a chance, we need firepower
* Ruscoe: extra support down back

Sub:

* Carmichael. Seems more effective than a regular starting member of the 22.

Summary:

Out with the flakies and in with the match-winners.

My take is the Bluescum had a much tougher game than we did, this was just full on manic pressure, an they will be shattered they lost it, you could tell they thought they had it won, all over, red rover, then Kossi breaks their blue hearts. Hard to come back from that one, no matter what Voss says or does, heartbreaking loss. We, had relatively easier game, most of our guys did not get out of second gear, up there on that putrid small ground, we had many players down, maybe the flu affetct, but we did not play our usual pressure hard at it, match. Losing JDG then Jack was the icing on the defeat, plus no Tay of course. Least we were not smashed, despite a poor game from us. I have NO doubt Fly will say right things, and do everything in his power to get our boys up again, and rearing to tear into the arch enemy next week, he will leave no stone unturned, to ensure we will hit these Bluescum pricks very very hard, with our own manic pressure. Our guys wont have an off day, like today, we want that top 4 spot, an we wil get it. Just hope JDG plays, he must , if Jack cant, then Henry comes in, hes a good developing forward, another option up front. Im not worried bout our defence, heck, it must have done fairly well to keep the rampaging Swans to only 11 goals up there, on that tiny ground. Yeh, tweak a few things, and we can, an will, win this final match.
