100k might be a stretch too far, but biggest H&A crowd for 2022 is certainly a possibility.

If the weather holds up could crack 90k, and if both teams have a big reliance on the outcome 90k+ is a distinct possibility I would think.

Should bill it as the 90k for 90 (nice) game.

Nice day, 90k big chance.

I was not born but do know the history of those years of 1970, 1979, 1981.

Geez must have been tough.

So we must beat Carlton next week.

Would be nice to start a “Carlscum was 12 seconds away from finals” thread next week.

shit yes mate, i wept tears as a teenager when we lost in 1970, they literally broke my heart, 7 goals up at half time, and Harmes was buying a hot dog of f a kid in the stand, when he tapped that ball back in 1979. My wish is to live long enoiugh to see us beat the Bluescum in a Grand Final, id love to see that, we owe thwm so much. I smiled last night, when the evil Club thought they had it won, but lost, at last gasp to the Deees. Yes, beat them next week, regardless of what happens today against the swans, hopefully win both games. Surprised Exclamation

Seeing some very confident Carlscum supporters online last night... They are very confident that next week is a win for them.

Next week is going to be huge! A final before the finals.

When was the last time Carlton/Collingwood played against each other in any final?

Was that 1988 or 1992?

1988. Carlton beat us in the Qualifying Final.

Our last win against them in a final was the 1984 semi-final. Peter Daicos kicked 7.4 (18 kicks, 2 handballs), Mike Richardson kicked 4.2 (18 kicks, 9 handballs) and Ian McMullin kicked 2.2. Bruce Abernethy was unstoppable on the wing that day (23 kicks, 4 handballs) - what a beautiful footballer he was - and Banksy played a magnificent game, taking 12 marks and kicking a goal (16 kicks, 6 handballs).

We last beat them in a GF in 1910, they've beaten us in 5 since. I was only 3 in '70, but '79 & '81 gave me nightmares for decades.
I haven't had a drink for almost 3 years. Last night when Kosi kicked that goal, with 10 seconds to go... I was tempted.

Wilkepedia has it 99,256

The hype for Carlton will be off the charts next week. BT won’t name a single Collingwood player the whole game if he commentates

1992 was also our Centenary match, which they f’ked us in too.
They beat us in our 1st, 25th, 50th & 75th Birthdays.
They also hold the record for GF wins over us, we have 1 & they have 5.

I’m telling ‘ya WE OWE THEM, big time!

Next week, is a MUST win, no ifs &/or buts.

Biggest Collingwood and Carlton crowd is 88,181 in 2011 when we unfurled our flag.

Carlton's biggest home crowd against us was 87,119 in 1995.

Records might be broken here.

That was 1958.

It's still the record H&A attendance in history.
