The cruel and humiliating treatment of JDG and to a lesser extent that of IQ and Ginni will hopefully not lead to a poor performance on Sunday. This is a must win. If we win, we can begin to put all the shit behind us and continue on our march to a finals berth or better. If we lose, then I fear we could begin to unravel and lose all the positive momentum we have built up in recent weeks.

Yes I blame the AFL for what ever reason they have for implementing a bye round, just so unnecessary. And for that fans are deprived of seeing their team having to start or try to kick off where they left off. Thats going to be the hardest thing to do in the first quarter and a half of footy tomorrow.

… Except it’s the players that demand a bye via the enterprise bargaining agreement. Blame the league if you want but you’re directing it to the wrong place. _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Earlier, i was very pessimistic about this game due to our club's refusal to stand up for JDG during the vicious media witchhunt. After watching Fly's presser, in which he repeatedly affirmed his affection and care for JDG, and made it clear that he would welcome JDG back with open arms, i feel less down about our prospects in this game.i am looking forward to Isaac Chugg's debut. From the information provided by Swoop, he clearly has a defined role as a resolute gut runner in our midfield. Hope he smashes it in his first game, and in Bruzzy's 150th! _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

On the point of McRae showing care for Jordan and he also said his care is not only for him but all people at Collingwood
If I were in anyway involved with the club that knowing some one cares would make me feel very upbeat
So at Collingwood is Craig’s obvious sense of good family environment translate to the players
Would they play in the knowledge that Craig had their back _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

IT all depends on WHICH Collingwood team turns up, for mine. IF its the rattled team in dissaray, the team , and Club, that just underwent the biggest media rabid witch hunt in League history, bar the Dons drug saga, the team that has been mentally shredded by all this never ending media heat, even having microphones under their noses, for clickbait, by CH7 at training, if its THAT team we lose by four goals. BUT, if its a team now utterly united by the shenaigans of the last week, by both Fly and Leigh Matthews, who spoke well to them, determined, out for revenge on the media, to "stick it right up them" as Teddy Whitten said, then WE will win by four goals.
I honestly dont know, as which team turns up for us, and i can understand so many Pies fans even, putting hard earned on the GWS at those great odds. My son loves the Magpies, like me, but he put a lazy $50 on the Giants, just in case, an i dont blame him, or others that do that, we just dont know what we get, ala Forrest Gumps mother and chocolates. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Leigh was down here in any case BUT was this a shrewd move by Fly to have Barney chat to the players in a time of turmoil
Fly may have created a diversion to repulse one _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Yes, if he's anything like Baker we're onto something good. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Thank goodness the footy is back. Been a tough week for the club after the relentless and unfair media scrutiny we received.
The Giants have troubled us in the past few years, so I'm anticipating a tricky game and potentially a very open game with both sides being attack minded this year. I think Maynard on Greene will happen, and hopefully he steps it up in #150.
Win this and we can climb to 7th, so there's everything to play for tomorrow.
Congratulations to Isaac Chugg on his debut.
