Preuss out of this game so GWS will not have a proven ruckman and may rely on Lachlan Keefe who is a trier but barely a B grade opponent. Hence this is a big test for Cameron and Cox to provide a positive impact on the game and give Collingwood a match winning advantage for center square and stoppage clearances.
Interestingly the loss of Preuss didn't seem to negatively impact the GWS performance much on Saturday night so maybe I am under estimating the performance of Lachlan Keefe against an inform Tim English?

I don't agree that Maynard should play on Toby Greene. I thought Greene outplayed Maynard last time they played, so I'd start with Moore onto Greene given Howe should be able to handle Riccardi as an opponent and Nathan Murphy can match up on Jessie Hogan at CHB. Moore's greater height and strength along with his ability to read the flight of the ball may eliminate the Greene threat. Greene is GWS's greatest goal kicking threat so maybe we should put our best defender on him allowing Maynard to focus on one of their lesser forwards and hopefully dominate by supporting the rest of the defenders to get the job done.

I disagree. I think you will find that Moore will be on Hogan and either Howe or Murphy on Riccardi. Maynard is a good matchup for Toby.

Might be a bit of a left-field suggestion, but I wonder if McCreery has ever been considered for a tagging role? I reckon he could absolutely match Greene both for pace and upper body strength, which are his two main assets, and make his life pretty difficult.

I like this idea, but we’d lose his pressure in the forward line. It’d be a big task for the kid.

Surely Maynard has to take responsibility for Greene

Could someone please clarify on just who played on Toby Greene last time because I thought Quaynor played on him. I'm more than happy that we play Maynard on him.

Hopefully Greene has feasted too much on goals (7) a week early but you can put your house on Maynard going to Greene.

If I was McVeigh I'd be wondering about who to tag the rampaging McCreery!

I don’t think you need to make massive changes to combat Toby Greene - Maynard is a good matchup, at least when Greene is forward, so I’d go with that as plan a. When Greene is a bit further a field do you try to switch say an Adam’s or even Pendlebury onto him? That might be plan B. Every plan involves limiting the supply to the Giants forward line and locking the ball in our forward half.

McCreery had a run with role with Mitchell of the Hawks during the second half.

Giants at $3.40 is a VERY good bet this week.
