A bit early, I know.

Now in the Pre-Season for 2022, we finished the 2021 season with a few guys out of action. We ended up second last and our VFL team (who made finals) had their season cut short when the season was cancelled due to covid.

To end the 2021 season; Trey Ruscoe had a slight ankle issue and was expected to take part in the VFL before it was cancelled. Oliver Henry had a shoulder problem right at the end of the season. Both Callum and Tyler Brown had shoulder surgeries. Mason Cox had a larynx issue. Darcy Moore had a knee injury. Scott Pendlebury missed the final month of the year with his leg injury. Isaac Quaynor had glandular fever. And Mark Keane took leave for personal reasons. Begg and Johnson didnt get to play in the VFL after being drafted in the mid-season draft, but were also a chance to play in the VFL finals had they taken place.

Every player listed there has taken part in pre-season training, with the club sharing photos of all, including Moore, recently. Also had to scroll through TP's photos in the thread about training to make sure I spotted everyone. The only player I haven't seen many photos of is Tyler Brown. His shoulder is strapped, and he may not be taking part in match simulations, but he is there doing other things.

So with a bit of a question mark over Ty Browns involvement at training and if he'll be fully fit for round 1, and with a question mark over JDG's whole situation, that leaves Scott Pendleburys recent injury (or re-injury). Pendles, as we know, is sitting out right now, but should return to full training in late January. Meaning he will be A-OK to play St Kilda in round 1.

Please see this thread for more on Pendles: https://magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=89826

Let's hope this thread stays dormant throughout the actual season.

Thanks Presti

Didn’t Crisp have post season hip surgery that was going to set him back initially ?

Also Arlo Draper is also recovering from shoulder surgery and not participating in contact drills until early 2022

Is a poke in the eye still better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick? Asking for a teammate

All out there training today as far as I can tell. Cox now plays in goggles and this is the first time in years in the preseason I've seen the number 36 jumper out on the field participating in full training rather than running laps. Kreuger is the only one not doing full training but it looks to be only a minor injury because he's moving freely.

Thanks. There was talk Moore hadn’t recovered fully from his PCL but it sounds like you have him as participating in most drills.

You can't miss him in his pony tail. Crisp was out there as well.

Scott Pendlebury has returned to full training, as has Darcy Moore.
