First Test.

After day one, England, who won the toss and elected to bat, are 6/268.
A pretty good effort to get back from 4/84 in the 15th over.
The unbeaten century to Bairstow the highlight for the batting side so far.
Holder, with 2/15 off 16 overs (9 maidens) the pick of the bowlers.

The other highlight for me is Stokes, Woakes & Foakes all playing together Very Happy

West Indies - $6.40
England - $1.55
Draw - $3.95

^ They were actually 4/48 before the ball stopped swinging.

Ah yes, that's what I meant... my dyslexia at 5.30am, before a coffee, was the issue. 84 off 15 with 4 down would be more like a 20/20 score Smile

Interesting change to the thread title... I was banned from FB for using the term 'Pom'. They cited it as "Hate speech".

Of course, someone may ask the context.

It was in response to, what I considered a very poor taste meme about Warnie and his parents now having to bring home the ashes.

My exact post.

"Thing is, it's not even funny. Australia are currently in Pakistan, Warnie was in Thailand and the poms haven't had the ashes for almost a decade. I'd give it a 1/10,... very poor"... bang, banned for 7 days.

Silliness in the extreme, mate.

Anyway, the term 'Poms' or 'Pommies' is more affectionate than derogatory.

Re. me rewording your topic title, Skids.

I like to vary thread titles because we have so many topics on cricket. Sometimes I'll go with Australia v. Pakistan or India v. England. Other times: Aussies v. Black Caps or Windies v. Proteas.

Because you used 'Windies' I changed England to 'Poms'. Had you used West Indies, I wouldn't have bothered.
