Cyclists shouldn't ride up the inside lane at traffic lights. All they do is then stop / slow the left lane from taking off as the cyclists is much slower than a car.
Selfish cyclists (all of them) want to get to the front of the queue, rather than being considerate and hanging back to allow cars to take off first. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Yes and no. Depends on the intersection. It’s not selfish to take off at the green lights in fact it’s safer: no fumes and it’s only a couple of seconds . I ride and I drive, have no issue with waiting for cyclists to go first as it takes seconds. At the same time cars run red lights a lot and think that amber is a green light. Having said that I don’t have any time for cyclists who ride without lights at night, who don’t stop at red lights and ride 3 abreast (unless it’s in a lane where there’s no cycle lane.
Get used to it as there’s gunna be more cyclists not less.
What I don’t understand is how one minute you gave a so called bike lane then just before an intersection it’s disappeared. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Not all cyclists are selfish, but there is a large percentage of self entitled twats who think it is their right to be on/in the road and car drivers should defer to them.

Oh tiddums, for a 1/2 second you are inconvenienced. As a bike rider you’ve gotta keep a door opening width from parked cars. As a car driver, so what, it’s a nano second.
Share the road (it ain’t hard) & for those that do: get off ur fringin phone while driving. And for those that do the right thing: thank you 🙏😊🚴🚴😊😊 | no parked cars on the freeway
And I never touch my phone while driving!
And I believe it’s diddums! |
Diddums it is 😊
If you’re on a Freeway then there’s plenty of room and that nano second is even quicker than teenage sex. Just be patient. You should see how many bad drivers I see when driving and when cycling. I also see bad cycle behaviour too but cars kill with impatience and intolerance. Bikes barely at all ( we’ve been here before) 😉🚴🚴🚴🚴🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴
Glad ur not a phone user when driving. |
The ‘freeway’ in question is brand new, perfect surface, 2 lanes, one for bikes, one for cars, if I give the 1.5 metres from the white line, I’m almost touching the Armco! He has 3 metres, he should be in the centre of it! It was ridiculous, I was in the ranger, no one else around, I wasn’t speeding but there should not have been a need for to slowdown or worry about hitting him
I walk the dogs early everyday, shared path, most bikes slow down, wave when you move over, there is a couple of riders who think they are in the Tour de France, right pricks they are! One guy scowls at Us as we move to the side, he’s just a ^&*^*%, I’ve yelled before no worries mate! I’d love to see him crash! Needs to learn the meaning of ‘shared path’ _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

First I'd heard of it:
https://www.news.com.au/sport/sports-life/champions/aussies-spend-boxing-day-trashing-bradman/news-story/4cac652ff2df1b147cd6114388415c45
I don't understand why people care either way (either to express or feign "disappointment" or to leap to his defence). What aspects of "was a great batsman" and "had right-wing views" are in conflict, exactly? Even the writer of the article above, trying to get a snarky dig in at "outraged leftists", is confused:
Quote: | Social media users and journalists expressed shock that Bradman — who was born in 1908 and raised in an era when horses outnumbered cars on the road — had conservative leanings. |
This would hit the mark if he'd expressed outdated views about, say, homosexuality or immigrants. But these are right-wing economic views he's expounding. There were a great many Australians born in 1908 and preceding decades who didn't believe in free-market capitalism. But, again, why anyone would expect a famous cricketer to be (or not be) among their number is incomprehensible.
Anyway, this is (in classic tabloid style) a beat-up posing as a critique of a beat-up. Nobody quoted in the piece is really expressing shock or outrage, and I'm yet to see any movement to retroactively "cancel" him; at most, there are just a few boomers who are still salty about the dismissal letting off some steam on Twitter. It's a slow news day, after all. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Correct weight. The so called outrage is confined to the imagination of the faux journalist of the tabloid press. It’s bullshit.
Ian Chappell had it right, great cricketer but a cnut of an administrator. That his opinions were racist and right wing: par for the course. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

If he's a prominent supporter of Islamic State as the article suggests, then I doubt this is his most outrageous opinion. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

No slight on Greta, who shouldn't have to put up with these neanderthals, but does anyone else think that it's high time the use of "small dick" as an insult was put out to pasture? It's odd that most other forms of body-shaming are steadily becoming taboo in mainstream society but that one is still seen as a hilarious comeback.

Ultimately ur right but was a brilliant put down nonetheless to the male misogynist.
Mind you the latter comment about he ought to have recycled the pizza boxes was even better 😂😂😂 _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |
