That's interesting, of course - it may be that the appropriate way to view that is that Gawn got thrashed by a guy who isn't good enough to ruck for Collingwood.
That's certainly what the numpties on here would have said if the roles were reversed (indeed, just prior to him being traded out by Melbourne after 10 games in 2 seasons, Preuss wasn't entirely hopeless against Grundy and that was used as a basis for criticising Grundy). |

ALWAYS great to beat the cocky toffy Deeees, most flakey fans in the League. Cant stand them, hope the lose the GF by one point, they have kicked us when we were down many times, and rejoiced at our d Finals losses.

"Scott you have a head like a horses arse".
He did get a few laughs at that. |

^ Port actually saved our precious 4 in a row flags, back in 2004, when they stopped the Lions. Melb fans once said to me Magpies fans are feral child molesters, and half brained bogans, so i know whom im backing in the GF, and it sure aint the Toffs Deees, stuff em, let the drought go on and on. !

We have different perspectives. I happen to be of a younger generation where the Collingwood-Melbourne rivalry hasn't been relevant.
I have family who are long-suffering Melbourne supporters, and for their sake I hope they get up.
Port beating Brisbane in 2004 did protect the 4-peat record, but I can't overlook the way Port has continually undermined us since their inception in the AFL even though the condition of them being granted an AFL licence was they wouldn't wear black and white under any circumstances.
