Actually there’d be at least 800 more people alive because we’d have never had the second wave. Then who knows, maybe we’d be avoiding this outbreak as well because everyone wouldn’t have been completely over never ending lockdowns and unnecessary restrictions.

So would Scommo Closed the International Borders then

People allowed to do Cases and Deaths be lot Higher

Yet you responded to complaints about QR codes…

Talk about going off on a wild tangent, yet you wouldn’t let anyone do that on the main board…

Most of those 800 were in federally regulated private aged care facilities. Interesting that deaths in state run aged care facilities run at about 10% of private sector homes. Also worth considering why the phuck state governments were using hotels for quarantine rather than the federal government actually fulfilling its federal responsibilities. Ruling out lockdowns in any circumstances is just cheap bullshit politics, aside from being totally irresponsible. Current crowd of state libs (with a handful of exceptions) should stick to playing student politics.

So state homes are accounting for 10% of aged care deaths? Interesting, so it’s clearly not a private aged care problem at all given state aged care accounts for 10% or less of all aged care homes in Victoria!

Maybe it just shows you can’t protect the elderly when the virus is out of control, which it was in the second wave solely due to the state government’s incompetence. Funny how it was only one state who so royally £$%$ed it up in 2020 yet all they do is blame the Feds. Meanwhile the rest of the states just did the job they agreed to.

Hell when hotel quarantine first start many were lauding it as a great idea put forward by Dan. Funny how that tune changed when he £$%$ed it up. Everything on National Cabinet was agreed too by all the premiers, only when they couldn’t do the job did they change their tune. They loved the power and the control, until it all got too hard.

I'll go with Last Blood as it was my suggestion. An alternative you don't have there would be Groundhog Day.

On the subject of deaths, here's some interesting data from the ABS. Data up to 31 Jan 2022.

https://www.abs.gov.au/articles/covid-19-mortality-australia

It seems the median age of people dying with Covid is higher than the average life expectancy in Australia.

Also,
Quote:
Pre-existing chronic conditions were reported on death certificates for 1,776 (69.5%) of the 2,556 deaths due to COVID-19 deaths outlined in this report.

Yep, I’ve stopped checking in once it was obvious there was zero point to it.

The mask mandate is soon to follow. Most masks are ineffective and that's when people wear them properly, which most aren't.

^

The pressure is on to get people back into offices. They won't if they have to wear masks.

^ The mask is more of a security blanket than anything else.

After 2 years working from home, I'm ready to go back to the office 2 days a week, especially since I'm in a new job and it's only a 15 minute drive.

Our carpark was packed at work today despite the official advice still being work from home. Still a few people who live further away that prefer to stay away, but most transitioning back to 1-2 days a week minimum.
