I've ran into a few people today who've moved to Darwin at least temporarily to escape lockdowns, most from Melbourne.
The only sign of Covid up here is the QR code check ins, which most people are using . It is busy up here but no where near as much as ususl, lot more closed shops and restaurants than 2 years ago. The lack of tourism, domestic but particularly international is clearly biting.
FFS people, get the shot. The odds of dying from the AZ shot are 1 in 1,000,000. The odds of dying or getting seriously farked up from Covid if you catch it are much much smaller.
And well done Eddie. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

As from tomorrow the AZ shot will be available to Victorians aged 18 to 39, meaning basically everyone over can get the AZ shot unless their GP says No. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

The Federal Health Minister has just announced that Moderna should have approval in 2 weeks and become available (for adults, first) in about 6 weeks. This from the ABC blog:
Quote: | Health Minister Greg Hunt says he expects the Moderna vaccine will be approved within a fortnight, and deliveries will begin in the middle of next month.
The Federal Government has bought 25 million doses of the vaccine, 10 million to be used for primary vaccinations, and 15 million as boosters.
It'll be first approved for adults, before the Therapeutic Goods Administration considers the vaccine for children aged 12 to 18.
Mr Hunt says it will begin rolling out in around six weeks.
"There are no red flags, there are only very positive signs about a highly effective vaccine," Mr Hunt said.
"We'll see an extra million in September, probably more towards the middle of September but we haven't got final guidance. And then 3 million a month through October, November and December." |

Just get out and get it done, the first dose of any provides more protection than no vaccination _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

For those still hesitant, here's the A-Z of things more likely to kill you than AstraZeneca.

Methinks the lack of detail makes the statement doubtful. What is taken, drunk, inhaled, injected or eaten prior to sleeping is extremely relevant to this statistic. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Feel like those odds might be somewhat inflated by 80+ year olds dying of natural causes. Anyway, if these guys think sleeping is dangerous, wait until they hear about being awake. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
