Overall, a great result for the future of the club and also ends this unnecessary speculation.
His judgment has been impaired lately.
Thinking his dour game plan would be successful - mistake
Commenting / supporting the current board in the middle of a coup - mistake
Playing tennis during lock down - mistake _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Ridiculous if Harvey is going to take over. But I understand Bucks leaving immediately. He has done the right thing by the club. Champion player and champion of the club, but it’s time for a fresh voice across most aspects of the club. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Happy to be quoted in the future but I don’t see flag success for at least 5 years. |
Lazza, those of us that wanted Buckley gone ain't doing cartwheels, we want what's good for Collingwood, just as Buckley supporters obviously also do. We just think differently on what is right I guess.
it is my belief that the club has to start again to create a path to sustained success. We are a long way off in many different areas of the club outside of the football department. Pendles won't be getting another flag no matter who the coach is. This will take time.
I also think this is the most dignified option for an exit for Buckley, which he has been able to choose. This stuff can get really ugly. |

Possible, they may have already made the decision behind closed doors, then possibly come to head after the Blues performance and Barker getting the sack. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

If the new coach isn't free and available, you can't give the interim job to someone competent. |

They certainly haven’t done that if it’s Harvey taking over. FFS. |

Clearly, the club has another coach signed sealed, and delivered. The ducks are lined up and now we wait for the board to be removed or do they step down?
Buckley will be sensational in the media.
Whoever the interim is, the new coach will instruct them on what he wants and who to play.

I strongly disagree. He has considered his position and done the correct thing. That's exactly how a champion of the Club with the best interests of the team firmly in sight would wish to be remembered.
He was one of our greatest-ever players. Nothing can take that away from him.
