Telling in some ways, we miss Adams at the contest and clearances, and that Mihocek hasn't been as effective as in previous seasons.
We can't stop injuries but Adams is definitely a key players for us, and without a settled forward line Brodie is taking the best defender very week, making him far less effective when he's probably more suited as the 3rd tall. _________________ In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away |

Playing Pendlebury “ out of position “ in recent weeks ( whether injured or not ) is the best thing we can do for the future.
As good as his numbers continue to be, we need to slowly pass the baton and both plan for the future and maybe squeeze an additional year out of him.
We can always break glass in case of emergency as needed ( as shown on the weekend )

Elliott’s stats are very impressive.10 goals straight from two and a half games. If only we had a few more like him. |

Thanks for posting, P4S.
I'd like to see disposal efficiency as well.
Also, it's an indictment on our team that our Ruckman leads the tackle count! _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world, those that understand binary and those that don't. |

Others may (try) have you believe it is an indictment on his ruckwork as he palms it to his feet where an opposition player pounces forcing Grundy (who is in the best position to) to tackle... |

There's way too much information there for my little brain to take in. Nevertheless I commend you P4S for gathering it and presenting it to us. Thanks mate. |

^ You're welcome, RudeBoy.
Abdul, here's DE and Metres gained (both from AFL Statspro). Personally, I'm not much interested in DE - experience tells us that the best players who do the most important things tend to have lower DE - but I guess you can look at it situationally.
Disposal Efficiency - %
Mayne 93.3
Moore 86.7
Howe 83.5
Roughead 82.1
Noble 81.3
I've left Rantall out of that list (he'd be ahead of Moore) because his is a very small sample size.
Metres Gained
Crisp 6,084
Maynard 5,651
Quaynor 3,993
Pendlebury 3,599
Sidebottom 3,559 |

Could Cox & Cameron cover Grundy on those stats & we still have $1million per year in our cap? |

Should tapping the ball straight to an opponent then immediately tackling him really count for anything though? _________________ I’ve tried to be fair to you creatures, but now my patience has reached its end. |

What stats are you talking about, if it's Height & Weight combined then they cover him easily.
Other than that there's no contest. Grundy > (Cameron + Cox) _________________ Go Pies! |

Could people please confine their hatred of Grundy to the "I hate Grundy" thread? There's really no place for it here, at all. |

DE means nothing. Mayne being at the top shows this. Chip 15 metre backward kicks should not count as an effective disposal. Mayne is Top 5 in disposals per game, but is 16TH in metres gained! Also, Poulter is 12th in metres gained for our team, but has only played half the games this year. He has 2177 total metres gained, so if you double that, he would be third, only behind Crisp and Maynard. _________________ "That was out-of-bounds" |
