I'm disappointed that Bucks didn't show a bit more flair in his last game and give Magic Johnson a game. I see that Clarkson has selected their pick in the MSD. |

Either a big defeat (1 versus 16 ) or the emotional spill out may see a hard fought win
Times like these with a coach departing can do the unexpected
That’s my emotional theory. But it’s way out of ball park one at that
As long as they apply the same match day approach from last week abiet weaker opposition let’s see how this gets them in the game _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

If Mayne is being picked to replace Madgen, then I don’t see the problem.
It’s only a few posts earlier were banging on about Browns - 17 metres gained.
Last time Mayne played ( and against the Cats ) he went at 97 % efficiency and 414 metres gained.
Surely we have bigger issues than bagging a bloke based on his previous game. He’s certainly not the future but he deserves to be in this week. It’s not like he’s replacing a superstar or a kid who has been tearing it up in the VFL. |

You're right. I'm one who bagged Mayne and didn't think he deserved another contract this year. His performance against Geelong fully justified his position in the team and if fit he deserves to play in the 22. |

In: Mayne, McCreery
Daicos, Thomas and Murphy all presumably play, so:
Out: Sier and two of Brown, Madgen and Rantall (maybe Rantall stays in).
With Cox and Wilson presumably rounding out the emergencies. Maybe Wilson will be the injury sub. |
If C Brown is out, you dont have an inside mid, since Sier is out... unless you intend to play JDG in the midfield pure and simple, and occasionally throw Jamie in there as well...oh wait...then you don't have a forward line...
I am just so frustrated by our selections...obviously i am missing something... would love to have it explained to me |
Fair enough! Maybe Brown stays in and Rantall goes to injury sub, in that case.
Either way, hard to see Cox getting selected. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

With the depleted stock of very experienced players Chris will fill a roll in the short term —-and support the growth of his younger team mates
At present either to help get wins on the board he and others like Pendles,Sidey,Roughie and when back Howe are needed to help for the now & the future of young team mates _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Hmmm. 8 Copeland Trophies in that last sentence - and Mayne has none of them. |

Cox has not played for weeks and was next to useless in the VFL before that. Surely he is not going to play 3 ruckmen.
And what purpose does Mayne now present?
Keep playing young blokes FFS. The year should now be about putting games into the youngsters, not an aged player who will more than likely retire at the end of the year. |
For one last time Bucks leaves us all scratching our heads. I agree it is a very odd selection.
Anyway even with this being Bucks final game in charge, I give the pies very little chance. I am not saying for a moment they won't try. And I expect we will stay with them for a couple of quaters but I honestly think the Demon's tallent will be too much to handle.
Melbourne by 20 to 30. _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |

Here’s an idea.
Let’s drop Quaynor cause he had a bad one and bring in McInnes ( oh wait, he’s injured )
Maybe drop Brown because he was - 17 metres 🙄 and replace him with Johnson ( it’s not like for like but we haven’t seen him yet )
We could also drop Rantall cause he has done very little with his chances and bring in McMahon. It doesn’t matter that he’s 197cm and less than 80kgs. We still haven’t seen him yet.
We have debuted something a dozen odd kids in the last season and a half.
We are virtually at the point if you want to play more kids, then the players who deserve to be dropped are also kids !
Team selection is all about balance. There’s nothing wrong with also picking a team that includes a bit of experience and enough pre seasons that they can actually run out four quarters of footy. |

Okay I’ll stay silenced. I just want to say thanks for the memories and to those who in PM’s supported what I wrote. I now know why so many here don’t post in the bulletin section but are happy to say stuff in PM’s. The fallout is not worth the effort of posting. Some posters like Piesnchess and RB among others, shine here everyday. Will miss you guys. 😓🥲 My mistake was putting some of those comments into the public forum. I should have been more selective in what I posted. Anyway I remain a crazy (in more ways than one) Collingwood supporter until the roll is called up yonder🙏🏾 Over and out.👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. How much will playing the match at the SCG affect things? I could see it favouring us actually. _________________ We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Not having 60,000 cocky Melbourne supporters baying for our blood at the G will certainly help. With a small crowd at the SCG,the atmosphere will probably be very flat,so that should be to our advantage as well.I don’t think Melbourne will get as fired up for this game as they usually do at the MCG. |
