Great opportunity to have Mayne, Thomas, Madgen and both Browns playing at the same time. This will show everyone what they can do.

Please DO NOT bring in Mayne! He just slows the game down with 15 metre kicks that go backwards.

Nathan, if you are going to play Callum Brown, then PUT HIM IN THE MIDFIELD!

In: Wilson, McCreery, Johnson, Cox
Out: Sier, Madgen, Lynch, Rantall.

Cal Brown the sub again.

B: Maynard, Roughead, Pendlebury
HB: Quaynor, Moore, Noble
M: Poulter, Daicos, WHE
HF: Elliott, Mihocek, Thomas
F: Sidebottom, Cox, McCreery
Foll: Cameron, De Goey, Crisp
Int: Wilson, Bianco, Murphy, Johnson
Sub: Cal Brown.

Not sure if we are much chance for this one, but lets continue to play the kids so we can see who are the keepers, and who are no good.

Smaller ground going to be hard for us to keep the scores low, so I expect us to be annihilated.

Any chance Grundy or Adams gets up? There's a 9 day break between Crows-Dees games, and both were listed as 1-2 weeks last Monday. With another 7 days until we play...

If it were a given we will win 11 straight to finish with 14 wins —yeah like that gunna happen

But let’s fanaticise and say it did then getting the best back best way possible
would mean a lot

But really finals are damn so slim a chance

Get them right cheery ripe and go with what we have

If Johnson doesn't come in, everyone will be disappointed.
But he should start in the VFL
I say keep the team as was, except:

In: C.Brown, Cox (on bench)
Out: Sier, Rantall.
Sub: McCreery

We should continue play with flair and see how it goes.
Only go defensive if there is a reason.

To my mind if we want Cox to play, then Lynch needs to be dropped. It would be disastrous to play them both. What we will need more than anything else against the Dees is some speed and running power.

I’m putting it out there now. The backwards handball will be on display once again for all to complain about.
A small ground, a dominant Gawn ( assuming Grundy doesn’t play ) and an opposition that likes to come up and meet the ball carrier. It’s a recipe for disaster.
I’m already looking forward to after the bye with a much improved forward line structure and coming home with a few sneaky wins ...... but this weekend, not so much.

I can't see Lynch making a contest against Gawn.

Might be time to bring in Cox.

In: McCreery, Cox, C. Brown, Johnson

Out: Sier (inj), Lynch, Rantall, Madgen

Pies by 7 points.

Agree with these changes. don't agree with the predicted result though, unfortunately.

So, are we looking to play in this manner simply in order to avoid a heavy defeat. Did North Melbourne play like them in this manner to stay very close to them for most of their game? Is that how Adelaide actually beat them?
I just don;t see any point in playing like that. It must be just as demoralising as taking risks, and moving the ball fast, even if it means the ball will get turned over and they will score?

You don’t get to 11 wins from 12 games by allowing a lesser opposition to dictate terms. Unfortunately, it reads like the perfect storm for us to be forced back into a game style we have been trying to leave behind in recent weeks.
For some reason, people tend to think every action that occurs on a footy field is dictated by Collingwood but in reality, it’s nearly always the better team that dictates the terms of engagement.
And I’m suggesting you will see exactly that on Monday.

WE have not lost one game by more that 6 goals this yr, two games we lost by only 1 lousy point to both Finals teams. These toffy bastards wont annihilate us, gonna be a lot damn closer than what u think, lot damn closer, the Toffs arent in front of their snowbound MCC fans either. Surprised
