Yes, but I doubt we are in play here. Too expensive and we're not in the window. If he was to leave, you'd think he'd be looking for success, even though he has already played in a premiership.

He could replace Maynard IF we lose him, trade him or release him into the midfield |
Would absolutely hate to lose Maynard. I'd view Jake Kelly as an upgrade on Madgen, but I dont think the club is looking at him. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Kelly is not a like for like with Maynard.
Maynard is a hard running, tough bull. Kelly would play as a third or 4th medium/tall…. Likely replacing Madgen.
I’d do it if it costs us stuff all. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

Pretty sure wonder genius Hine decided Kelly wasn't good enough back in the day, for a team who couldn't make the eight.
He'd have to get delisted for us to fix Hine's shit again. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

I dont know if that has been flagged in any media, but I understand we have virtually no room to move, so probably rules us out for anything above the median wage. Apparently his last deal was 650-700 over three years and even if we could afford that I dont think we should. Surely his value has gone done however. Maybe he ends up at North or Saints on 500 over 5 years... _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

I remember having 4 Shaws (Ray, Tony, Neville and Derek) and 1 Elshaug. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

Daniel Talia has just been delisted by the crows. Is there any footy left in him to be recruited as a depth defender? He's only 29. |

Assuming we have some kind of sap space I would. Won’t cost much. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

At his best he was an elite stopper but throughout his career he simply never got enough of the ball. You can’t have a CHB in the modern game who isn’t involved in the play on the way out.
The way I look at, it’s just another $300,000 ODD that could have been used better elsewhere. |

Thats what Maynard is but not what we are asking of him lately. He is being asked to play as a tall.
IF we really wanted this elusive KP Forward - lets say King from GC - its a Maynard quality player to get him. Its that type where we actually have some depth or could bring one in.
I say Maynard cause Im not convinced he wants to stay. But IF he does he has said he wants to get into the midfield so we would have to replace the position anyway.
AND, my mail is Kelly has absolutely been approached by us............ _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Maybe getting Kelly or Talia will free up Maynard to play in the middle.
I wouldn't trade everyone that isn't our best idea of a starting 22 player. We still need depth. The problem I think we have is that depth players are all in our starting lineup.
Definite list changes
Greenwood (retired)
Mayne (retired)
Potential trades / delistings (haven't seen enough of the players that haven't featured at senior level so kept them off the list)
Sier
Cox
Murphy
